I wish I could give them 0 stars.1. The equipment constantly fails 2. It took them several months to bill me properly. They were the only company that couldn't charge ANY of my debit/credit cards and blamed it on my bank.3. They conned me into the contract. My main request upon signing was, "can I use the hardware after my contract". With ******, for example, I could alarm my house, it just wouldn't be monitored. I am leaving a review about ADT security. I have never had worst customer service. In fact, I feel held hostage as a customer. They are not allowing me to simply close my account. I have since sold my house and moved and have placed numerous calls to do so I keep on patched over to one service rep after another. After connecting with the manager, I was told my account was closed then do I learn that they still think I have a past due balance, and will not close my account. Ive had this service for 3 weeks. The sales rep sold me the service stating equipment could be 2, 3 or 5 yrs. I chose 5. The sales rep never said there was a contract for the service, it is also 5 yrs. Technicians have been out 4 times and I have talked to account ******************** at least 4 times. They billed me for equipment that I never received, the appointment was cancelled the same day, but yet billed for the part. Had ADT at a prior residence for 4+ years & did a local move last year*& paid extra $1500 for all new equipment because of outdated equipment in my prior residence. Installer was an idiot. He placed a break glass in BA set on high decibel not near the window (because there was tile), but over the sink & shower where the slightest noise would trigger the alarm In the 1st week, the alarm was falsely triggered more than 2x! I have been a very happy customer for about 16 years. I am partially disabled and I have seen commercials about the ability for ADT to install a lock that I can unlock remotely and I also needed a doorbell camera so that I know who is at the door, ADT wants to more than double my monthly cost from $ 39.00 to over $ 65,00 even though I told them that I would be happy to sign another 3 or 5 year contact and they couldn't care less. This company scams it's users and stole 814 bucks out of my account twice the yearly cost of the service then spent 40 min on hold to cancel the account for the second time the product works but their billing is criminal
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I've been a loyal ADT customer for several years...Until now. I just moved and this has been the worst and most expensive decision. Do not get service with ADT!!!! I had it installed in my old house and recently moved to a new place and I called to get it canceled but they told me that I had signed a 3 year contract but that had never been mentioned before even installing the system years ago. They said if I canceled before April they would charge me a huge fee. So I waited and crossed the 3 year **** and called them to cancel and they made it the most difficult process ever! My system has not worked for a couple of months. I have scheduled several times, but the appointment is canceled. No one calls to let me know I have wasted time away from work, earning money for my family. At this point, I am feeling discriminated against.
