- False claim about a money-back guarantee. They will only provide it if they determine that the system is unfixable by a manager. The technicians - the only people they send - cannot make the decision. False alarms, fines from the city, etc. do not come into consideration.- ADT never permitted my system - and never informed me that I needed to - so I got a fine from the *****************. Wont cancel my contract Cant get them to call me back after 3 year contract has been fulfilled to cancel.Lied, deceitful and make you jump thru hoops to cancel after you bought their equipment and paid ***** month for 3 years. Do not use Others are better. So now since they dont return calls and dont answer, youll have to dispute charges with bank or CC ************ a business owner who focuses on customer service
Due to a battery acid spill on a remote number panel, the system was not operational. The panel could not be bypassed so the system could not be armed thus no security alarm. Requested and paid for a service call and was told they would order the part but no solution was available in the mean time. The part was backordered for more than 6 months. When we felt we had provided enough time for them to repair that did not happen we disconnected the system and installed a new system from a different vendor. They continued to bill... read more
This company is a scam. I've been a customer for over 15 years and they refused to cancel my service until keeping me on hold for 45 minutes and then going through a 10 minute hard sell to keep my service. Avoid this company at all costs.
Due to Adt agent not completing ticket I had $1258.78 taken out of my account. Took 21 days to get it back. Had products less then 5mths and Fire Alarm kept going off nothing they said and new batteries could correct it. So sent out a Tech person who changed it out and gave me new one. Then for Auto monthly payment I had a $322.28 charge for the tech person coming out. Said I did not have a warrenty. Are you kidding me, not my fault you gave me a default product. Their services is not good and they constantly keep hanging the phone up on you and they never get your problems resolved. They are very rude and they lie to you .
Avoid this company. The worst customer service ever and I have the impression ADT staff purposefully deceived me for almost 2 months. My mother had an ADT system installed for over a year. She passed away in January, 2023. I first called ADT in March to notify them of my mothers passing and ask to cancel the account. Staff said I could not close the account without a PIN code, they would mail it. This company buried a clause in their 10 page contract, which I signed as part of getting our 20 year old equipment upgraded, which will require me to pay an exorbitant exit fee as we move out of our home/no longer require their services. Echoing another customer, I have no complaints about their equipment, but their contract and billing practices involve extortion level fee gouging.
ADT are thieves ! I am not exaggerating it . I was for over 10 years with ******** security in **. ******** was bought by ADT . I had bad experience over 15 years ago with ADT at my business, therefore I didn't want to continue to be with them once they bought ********.
