I had a fire/smoke alarm go off one day. Very unnerving noise. Long story short, ADT was not able to help me shut it off, so I had to call the **************** The *************** was very kind to ensure there was no smoke, fire, or carbon monoxide, And, very courteously helped to disconnect four sensors to finally stop the noise after I had to hear it four 45 minutes.Anyway, to get in touch with an ADT representative is a very long, tedious process. I wish I could leave NEGATIVE STARS. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I had a technician come to my house last week and he stole a $5100 item from my closet (the closet he was working in). What has ADT done to help? Absolutely nothing.They have DODGED my calls at all costs. Not a single person has called me back. I know that I will never see this item again but my concern is for the safety and well being of other customers who have a THIEF coming into their homes. I canceled my security services after using their services for over 10 years. I called back in March to cancel my security service. After being passed along given the runnable I was finally able to get someone to supposedly cancel my service. 1 month later I get a call from an ADT representative asking for final payment, which I made at that point. This company refused to cancel my service despite being outside of the contract window. I had to make 4 different attempts to cancel my monitoring services over the course of 10 months. They continued to charge me and each attempt was met with incompetent reps that seemed to be reading from prompt cards instead of helping me with the issue. Do not go to this people! They stated that you have free 30 days trial and when you call them to cancel they never answer the phone. I been trying to call them for days and left me on hold for hours. Today I decided to wait on hold for 2 hours 38 minutes because I never tried this services they are the ones pushing me to try it and now manager named ***** ******* stated unfortunately I can’t return it! This company is terrible! The sales person sold me equipment that was hugely overpriced and was no longer going to be sold by the company after a few months. The sales person also had a electrician come do work on my home and they never gave me a quote. ADT ended up sending me the bill for the electrician at an enormous price!!! Absolutely the worst company ever,The cameras never worked properly A ring doorbell was installed,which I had to pay ring so it would work.I went the 3 yrs waiting to cancel and get out of contract and did,then adt hit me with a collection agency for 43 bucks,I don't owe them anything. I don't understand how this company is able to operate.they also sold my credit card info.there so much more I could write bottom line watch out for this company it's no gd.
Just adding to the list of complaints. Don't fall for their "Free video doorbell camera" promotions. We were offered this promotion, which was in our contract, but it was never included because they said we needed to install a new bell inside the house for it to work (which they said they could not do). I had an alarm go off while out of town and the ADT alarm representative told me she could not contact the police department and suggested I call 911. I told her I was out of town. This is totally unacceptable for a security company to suggest I find a way to dispatch the police to my home. Furthermore, I told them this was a breach of my contract, therefore, I was going to cancel. In response, they billed me over $800 the next day. ADT is a terrible security service which I will never use or recommend.
