MOST HORRIBLE COMPANY EVER!!! I wish I could give ADT no stars. We are selling our house after 14 months and because they said the contract is 36 months, we are forced to pay $1000 for the remainder of the contract. The new owners are not interested in keeping the system so our only options were 1) pay off the contract or 2) take on ANOTHER one for 36 months with ADT. TOTAL AND COMPLETE RIP OFF.
This has been hands down the worst experience i have ever had with ADT and I have been using them for years at many of my business and residential locations! This situation has me rethinking what type of company i am doing business with! Poor customer service….. website not user friendly . I tried to download by credit card information and it appeared to have worked because they were billing me for equipment and installation and monitoring service , all billing applied to one card supposedly but this company was getting paid every month for their monitoring service because the credit card statements showed they were getting paid but for someone strange reason they would not use the same credit card to get paid for the equipment and installation service . I got robbed to find out my system didn't work. No refund. No help. Told me was locked in for 3 years. I'm paying for garbage. And didn't know it until I was robbed. Prayers to those who try finding safety with this company
There is no integrity with this company. My elderly parents responded to a flyer for "free" install. My parents are extremely trusting people but were sold a five year commitment with every potential upgrade even though they did not need it. They have lived in the same neighborhood for 60 years in an extremely safe rural setting. The sales person instilled fear in them because they, along with my disables uncle, for whom they care for, could not "**** off an intruder". Haven’t had a contract with them for over 16 years but stayed with them. Now we sold our house and called to cancel our service we have found we can’t as they will not answer a call. We get put on hold for an hour at a time and no one will pick up the phone. Please don’t use this company
Each time I call ADT I get transferred at least 4 times before I reach someone that can actually help me. Its the most ridiculous process I have ever experienced.
This is the worst company ever to exist. I wish it were possible to give it zero stars. None of my cameras work properly, they go offline all the time, the staff has NO idea what they are doing and they each tell you different things. I have spent hours of my time on the phone that I will never get back trying to "fix" the issues. My final straw was when my neighbor's house got broken into and my doorbell camera did not record the man who walked right past my door. Sadly they don't even deserve a 1 star but I couldn't choose lower. Their equipment that was sold to me does not work properly. I have been in touch with them for the past year to get it corrected. Have had several agents out who all admitted that the wrong equipment was installed but who also left me with empty promises to correct the situation but didn't. Now I have some of my business equipment missing and I am left to guess what happened to it because the ADT cameras that were recommended and installed do not work proper... read more
