Totally messed up my order!!! Been on the phone with them to cancel and have been on the phone with ADT for a total 8 1/2 hrs!!!! Mostly on hold!!!! 8 1/2 hrs!!!! Can you do that?? Beware the worst in everything they do. Do not even attempt to use their services.
I wont even give this company a rating. Dealing with them has been a nightmare. My now deceased father set up security 20 years ago with ADT. When my mother cancelled her landline, ADT was contacted to come out and add a wireless receiver. When they came they told her the equipment was outdated and they would need to upgrade but because she was a long standing customer it would be free, they told her she needed all new equipment but was told not to worry it was all free. This is the WORST company on the planet. If I could give them a minus review it would be ****. They signed me up for all this equipment, signed a new contract and then the tech got to my house to install the equipment and said they could not install it because my internet would not support it. I have made 5 calls trying to get the contract voided and no one has been able to help me. They have bounced me back and forth between the ADT sales office and the ADT equipment vendor at least 6 times and no one can help me. They have... read more
ADT Lies! I had their service set up in a house that I owned in Aug of 2021, then when I moved a year later I wanted to transfer to my new home. ADT's phone sales people repeatedly assured me that I would not be charged for additional equipment and that my original contract (5 years) would continue at the new address, and when the technician arrived he also stated that there were no new equipment charges and that the service was being continued (not a new 5 year contract) but later I found that there was all new equipment ch... read more
When I agreed to sign up for their service, I was assured by both the sales rep and the installation technician that I could switch from autopay to paper billing - as I made it clear that was a stipulation to sign any contract. Fast forward to my first bill where my debit card was charged and no paper bill sent. I called to have it changed to paper billing, and was told that I could not, since the equipment has to be on autopay - which is directly in opposition to what I was told when I signed up. Horrific company. They bought out ********, never informed their clients they were being bought out. Are impossible to reach with customer service. If you want to escalate, they give you a mailing address to send a complaint in. You are held hostage to payments. I never signed a contract with ADT for service, wasn't even aware ******** sold, yet continue to be sent monthly bills. Our system isn't even working, and they will only send ************, not even anyone in person. Do NOT sign with them.
ADT is HORRIBLE and not to be trusted! They honor a so called "verbal agreement" that I didn't agree to over an actual paper contract. When trying to end service with them they actually tacked on another 6 months worth of payments. I called them to terminate the contract and they just added additional payments on top of it. Each time I call I'm told something different and they don't honor the terms of any contracts.The salesperson was a complete liar.
