Absolutely HATE ADT security services. My system hasn't been working for 2 months and they want to charge me $200 for someone to come look at it. Ridiculous!!!

I rated ADT 1 star because the BBB insists I have a rating. We canceled service approximately 10 years ago when we canceled our land-line service from ***** About 2 years ago, I started getting robot calls from ADT - which I at first ignored, because the call wasnt pertinent anymore. I finally answered one of these calls and was told there was a problem with my system. Horrible company. Salesmen lie to you about the terms of the contract you are signing and falsely advertise what their products do. The recognizability of their name causes people who do not know any better to trust them. Once you purchase from ADT they will do everything in their power to make your life a living h*** Awful customer service, terrible products, and no one who works there seems to care at all.

I was with ADT for over 9 years. I notified ADT of cancelation of service. They asked my issues and they assured me they could meet my needs. I agreed to continue service. That was apparently the fast and loose salesman. It turned out ADT promises are not worth anything. ADT equipment has been disconnected and in a box in my garage since APRIL 2023. The WORST customer service ever. You cannot reach anyone that can anything about anything. You cannot cancel your contract. They make every promise and leave you stranded with poor security, no service and no follow through. They market their services as "money back guarantee" but they reply to anything so you are unable to move forward. Then they send you to collections for a system that never worked. Do NOT use ADT!!!!

ADT has charged me $1070 in contract cancelation fees. Service was transferred.. not canceled. I have been with ADT for over 20 years and have appreciated the service until my recent experience. The ****** nest cameras has been sub par and in consistent since my move, and to top it off... I'm getting hit with a cancelation fee. Unacceptable and poor business practices

I had so many issues with ADT and my older system. They are impossible to get on the phone and impossible to get upgrades on systems and then when I went to cancel I have been over an hour and a half on the phone and ******* keeps giving me the speel to keep on with them and how other companies rip you off. Well, the new Vivint contract is half as much and new equipment, For 21 years they charged me for older equipment and bad service and it was twice as much money. ADT a portion of North Star Security and my contract was one that was purchased. I have been requesting my contract from ADT since 21May23 and it is now 12Jun23. I have spoken to some 5 or 6 ADT representatives that have all said 3 to 5 days to receive the contract. When I bring up when I initially asked for the contract they say they can see that but have to start a new request taking 3 to 5 days. I've also been told the contract was sent to North Star from the 21May request. I've been told they can't send electronic copies... read more

I cancelled my ADT account because of ongoing poor service, including installation of a "new" battery in my control panel by their technician that was nearly dead. They then sent me a "new" battery that looked quite old and I was unable to connect it to the cables in the control box. They refused to send out a technician to replace the battery without a service fee so I immediately informed them of my cancellation on March 23, 2023.
