Horrible customer service. They will never let you cancel your service. I spent hours on the phone, I was finally told I had cancelled service, only to continue receiving bills.

I got ADT in 2020. The service went out and didn't work the entire duration of service. I was told that I had to rent the equipment for $18 a month. We just sold our house and considered bringing the equipment to our new home. The new tenants who we communicate with told ** to leave the equipment and if they need new equipment they would hold on to it and return it to us. Contacted ADT customer service ***** number several times, Staff are very pleasant and tend to my needs over the phone, but that's where it ends. Have made five phone calls to try and rid myself of this piece of trash, pretend WiFi based 'alarm' system ($2000 by the way) that has malfunctioned more than it has worked, and have my old system reinstalled. (As if the notion of an alarm system that has WiFi as its backbone isn't appalling enough.) I've received no phone calls from any local area managers, and the only visits I'v... read more

This company isn't being fair to the customers they agree to service and protect their homes. I don't think they deserve review at all. I give them a 0 review.

I feel completely exploited by a great profiteer and felt like this was an undue influence. Since you bought with ***************** you get money off and then be called numerous times and emailed about getting installed. Get me to spend over $1,000 and now wont give me my money back!!

I would not really even give one star. My mother has dementia. I am her financial power of attorney. She contacted ADT about a security system for her home because she saw it on t.v.- without telling me. Her caregiver advised me that they were coming out to talk about what mom might need. Her caregiver told the ADT rep that they needed to speak with me- which they NEVER did. They went ahead and installed the system without my permission. I lived in a rental property so I purchased Blue by ADT. A year after purchasing the owner sold the home. I moved to an apartment. The apartment does not allow Ring ***********. I called ADT and asked to cancel my contract as this was no fault of my own and told them that I can provide documentation. I was advised that I would have to pay an "early cancellation fee" which I found later to be the remainder of the 36 month contract that was never advised that I would have. Customer for 13 years. Cancelled in April but they keep billing me. I had to talk with five different people and repeat myself just to cancel the service. I called in early April and they said that I would have to pay for May. I did. I continue to get bills from them. The latest for June. I will not call them again because I will not tolerate being on the phone for such a long time and having to repeat myself over and over. I have been a customer for 4 years. I called 2 months ago to see if they could offer me a better rate. I currently pay $49 a month for basic monitoring. They only offered a $5 discount. So I chose another company for $21 instead. When trying to cancel my service, it was infuriating. I couldn't do in on line or via chat and was forced to call in and wait almost 2 hours to speak to someone. This should be illegal.
