This is the worst and most idiotic company I've ever had to deal with. C-Suite at this company should be absolutely ashamed of how this business is run. Horrible customer service that wasted **** hours of my life. Ended up canceling my service after they bought out our old security service. Run away from ADT!!!
When we purchased the system, it was communicated that in the event we sell, the system can be transferred to the new owner; however, if the new owner doesnt want it, that we would have to pay the balance of the equipment. It was not clear that would also have to pay the monthly servicing fee for the life of the 72 contract if it broke early - amounting to almost $2,000!!! We feel mislead. I spoke to 10 people, had to repeat my concerns 10 times. Waited on hold, got disconnected, one rep talked over me placed me on hold w/o listening to my concerns. ******* got smart spelling words talking to someone else and I had to repeat myself. The last Representative in sales was decent. My box is still malfunctioning. What a joke...and yes they changed their customer service number and didn't notify existing customers.
This review is time for me that ADT might hit your credit if you purchase them and do not pay the bills even when you say you want out of the contract. They will not or have not stop services from what I've seen by opinion. They will keep giving you service after written notice to cancel and verbal notice from those who have an opinon. Horrible wait times and unhelpful customer service! I have tried calling many times to cancel my service, and not under contract with ADT. I have been told by 3 customer service folks that I can only cancel service with ADT by calling 1-800-ADT-ASAP. However, each time I have tried calling, the wait time exceeded 1 hour holding in a queue. Only having a cell phone, and traveling on the road daily as part of my sales management job, I do not have time to wait on the phone this loooong. My system was installed with touch screen, door and window sensors, ***********. with nothing but problems on disconnects and false alarms. Disconnects from my wifi all the time. I can not view the cameras all the time and it is very seldom that they work. I have had several complaints put in to ADT about needing help and they send someone to fix it but the person does not know what they are doing. What a waste of time and money. Been trying to cancel my service for 3 months. Was told it will automatically be cancelled at the end of my contract. 6/30/23. But I received a new bill today. Talked to Customer service twice (Rude guy). This company has got to be stopped.
They charge a bunch of hidden and unexpected fees that are not transparent when buying their equipment. Then after you want to leave there company they want to charge you a fee to discontinue service. I will never use ADT and i advise to stay away from this company.
Awful! Dont do it! I got the service and the day it came in hours later I canceled the very day I received it! They are still charging me a monthly fee and still havent refunded my equipment I sent back! I will NEVER and I mean NEVER use them! I have spent over 7 hours on the phone being transferred back and forth between people who are apparently the wrong department! Waste of time and money! Dont do it!!!
