I had to use this site to run a complaint against ADT as I worked for the company. First of all, the want add says that you are paid weekly. Which is a total lie, and by the time they tell you that it is full commission, they already have you roped in. They promise in the interviews that they will float you until you make a sale. But that is not the case. If you need resources to work this job, these people definitely do not provide it. And they teach us to lie to the customer to get a sale!

ADT is the only company I know of that does not respect military PCS orders for active duty families. I have never encountered problems breaking a contract in the past due to a military move except with ADT. The Servicemembers Civil Relief Act has typically and graciously been applied to all other types of contracts that are tied to a specific home address, and one would think that a home security system also falls into this category, but for ADT, it does not. * ADT employs a very specific loophole in which they suggest that... read more

I HAD ADT SERVICE FOR MORE THEN 30-YEARS ON MULTIPLE LOCATIONS HOWEVER PAST FEW YEARS, THE ADT SERVICE IS GETTING WORSE OF THE WORSE SO I HAD TO CHANGE IT TO SIMPLISAFE AND I LOVE IT.AFTER I CANCELED MY SERVICE WITH ADT THEY CHARGED ME CANCELLATION FEE$197.50 PLUS THEY DID NOT REFUND MY MONEY FOR SMART LOCK $216.50 WHICH I SENT IT TO THEM IN LESS THEN A WEEK BECAUSE DID NOT WORK.MANY TIMES MY SYSTEM WAS NOT COMMUNICATING WITH ADT MONITORING ***** BUT ADT DID NOT INFORM ME, I AM THE ONE HAD TO CALL THEM. I beg anyone looking to get home security, DO NOT choose ADT! They dont disclose the hidden penalty if you ever need to cancel!

Would give zero stars if I could. Here are some problems:1. Salesman did not explain installation well. Counted a few doors haphazardly leaving me to either pay $300+ for more sensors or leave windows unprotected.2. Sensors are glitchy, there is one window sensor that keeps failing and giving me an open window message.3. Nion impossible to cancel. Call them for anything it'll take 5 mins, call to cancel it'll take an hour or more. Can't cancel by any other way but calling.Never EVER buy ADT!

I have been on hold for over an hour. Trying to talk to someone to cancel my service! This is ridiculous. Cant cancel any other way! Do NOT use ADT

Beware of this company. They took an unauthorized payment of $1,008 throwing my account in the negative. It was a nightmare trying to cancel and I requested a paper bill to be mailed to me on what I owed to cancel because they kept giving me different figures. They finally agreed to do so but never stated that they were going to withdraw $1,008 out my account. I am currently out of state and have -$15 to my name.

ADT is very expensive and difficult to deal with when equipment doesnt work correctly. Our back door sensor hasnt worked correctly since installation. Unfortunately we are retired and only arm the alarm when we both leave the house. The back door alarm sensor will not arm and is bypassed when the alarm is set. We paid the $60 labor charge to have this corrected. The next time we tried to set the alarm the back door was again bypassed. We have had ADT Security Service for over 6 years. We had the basic alarm system and never called for any issues. We finally called a few months back to add cameras to our property. A call back was set up for an appointment and we never received it the call back. We installed cameras another way. Last month, the ADT alarm battery died. They sent us a new battery 5-7 days later.
