I called in July 3 and canceled my ADT security service for my house that was sold. I tried to call before July 1 but could not get through. I was told that Id have to pay for the month because theres a 30 day cancellation period. I was not aware of the 30 day cancellation. And that I shouldve called earlier but he can. Ive had the service for a while. We have had the worst experience with ADT. They lock you into a contract then the equipment rarely works. Their remote assistants lack basic knowledge to help you fix issues such as doorbell cameras not working (which they installed) then they charge you fees to send a technician out. When I called again to hopefully speak to a different representative, the second representative basically called me a liar saying that I hadnt spoken to someone before her because there was no record of it on her end.We are counting down the da... read more

I am disgusted by a company that literally has no hardship exemption option for extenuating circumstances. I understand that a customer is obligated to pay the remaining balancing for financing the equipment HOWEVER, to force people to pay for monthly service when faced with a life changing event, for which they have no control is nothing less than evil. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They wouldnt come out to service my alarm unless I gave them $800 up front. All I wanted them to do was look at a window sensor that was having an issue. Then it took me over 4 hours on the phone with them just to cancel my service! I would give them zero stars if I could.

Absolutely horrible experience. I was a customer for 13 years and have had the worst experience. I have spent at least 6 hours on the phone with them trying to get setup at our new address. The hold time is long and annoying, I seriously can't hear the property brothers voices again. The first time they input the wrong address so I had to call and correct and get a new apt scheduled. The technician was a no call, no show. I called back and spoke with probably 10 different people before getting a reschedule today. I received ... read more

I cannot discourage people enough from using this service. We got the bare minimum of service provided, our installation didn't include everything we were promised, the longer we had the service we could tell there was no value in what we were paying for compared to their competitors. Every. Single. **************** interaction we have had since purchase has featured hour plus long waits on hold and incredibly dismissive ***s. Do not sign with ADT. I cancelled my account in May. They said it would take 30 days to cancel out the account and I would receive one final bill. After being charged again in July I called to find out why I was still being charged. They bounced me around from department to department before finally telling me that a cancellation request was never put into the system. I called in May to cancel my service because I was moving. I was told my service was canceled and there is nothing else I need to do. I had a long conversation with the rep about football and being a ***** fan and him trying to talk me into keeping my service.
