This company is contracted with a subdivision called Smart Home Security. They have door to door sales people and we accepted their system. It was installed by a proclaimed retired military member and retired police officer that is now working in security. Within 3 days this system just didn't meet our needs. We called and canceled services. The same trained technician came to our home and accepted back all of the equipment. Upon leaving he started taking photos of the front of our home. I'm writing to you in hopes of finding a solution to my problem with my Nest Doorbell installed as part of my security package through ADT. I'm not able to charge the battery no matter how long I leave the USB cable attached. I've been trying to get the matter resolved since July 22, 2023 to no avail. I called ADT customer service on July 23, 2023, who set up a virtual appointment with a technician. I was a customer for over 5 years before I realized that I had been charged for the past 2 years for a level of service that I had not subscribed. I decided to cancel. I was on the phone for 2 hrs 15 minutes and spoke to 5 different reps before I was finally able to cancel. The rep actually told me that I was acting “impulsively” and “not thinking clearly” because I wanted to cancel. He berated me and accused me of being fooled by a competitor’s promise. Our alarm repeatedly goes off in the middle of the night despite nothing happening to trigger it. Weve had ADT out multiple times. They say its fixed and the next night it happens again. Weve asked for a different tech to come out, because the tech who has been coming clearly has no idea how to fix it. We were told he is the only tech in our area (we live in a large city). Absolutely horrible company.

I would NEVER recommend ADT to anybody. When I bought my house 3 years ago it already had ADT equipment in it. My mistake was assuming the equipment worked properly when I moved in. The ADT services were transferred to my name from the previous owners. The equipment never worked at all the whole time I lived in my house. Different technicians came out but the equipment still wouldnt work. Company refuses to answer calls to allow for cancellation!! No one calls you back when you are in queue to be called back or they never answer your call. I have been calling ADT and trying to cancel services for two months. Even the people that initially answer the phone states that it is wrong because of the many notes that have been written concerning my account that should have been canceled months ago. Very frustrating. This company is very **********!!!!!

This company is trash and the way they treat their customers is a disgrace. I have used ADT for over 7 years and recently decided to go with a different company because it was more cost effective so I needed to cancel ADT. I called the company to have the equipment removed and to cancel my account. I was fully candid on why I was cancelling so there was no confusion on me wanting save money and go with a different company. ADT is the worst service i have ever experienced. I start their service and their cameras stopped working after 1 week. I called their technicians 2 times and they said you guys don't have enough wifi range. My router was installed very next to cameras. I paid 9 months monthly without using their service. Then i requested them to cancel my service and they said you will have to pay $1200 to cancel the service. My parents had ADT Security Services in Eldorado Hills - they sold their house in October of 2022 and their service was cancelled. A couple months ago ADT Security Services began deducting $75.77 from their bank account again for their service in Eldorado Hills. They now live in **************. My parents at 87 & 88 years old.
