ADT - total crooks.Have been trying to cancel a deceased persons account for months AND THEY TRIED TO RENEW HER CONTRACT. Wtf??? Evil, disgusting business practices that prey on scared old people.

Not only does ADT employee poorly trained, non-caring employees, they run a a shoddy business. Just listening to my husband on a back and forth for a virtual technical support call with a customer service ********* claims they called his number for a virtual assist call to figure out why his number is not being changed to a new number in order to use the app off of his iPhone. This would be the 7th or 8th call to ADT **************** support for an issue that has been ongoing for over one week.They claim they called his numb... read more

They're liars. They tell you one thing so you can get services with them and then give you a different price, then want to bark about their service being inexpensive in comparison. They never stick to their word and I can't wait to be out of contract with them.

I had been with ADT over 10 years. I was previously with Brinks until the ADT merger took place. However, once that term limit expired, ****** reps sought out it's former customers. We were one of them. I was no longer under contract with ADT so it should not have been a problem to cancel service. However, when I followed up from the initial notification to ADT that I was cancelling, I was given the run-around and the rep did not want to let me speak with a supervisor. After signing up for the service via USAA, supposedly getting a militay discount, when storms knocked out my wifi and I had to change router, alarm system went out. ADT then informed me that in order to restore, it would include a $54 charge for tech to come out; a $122 charge for the first 30 mins AND $31 charge for any additional 15 mins. Do not sign contract with ADT because they don't give clients an easy way to get out of your contract even after a contract termination date. I have been receiving ADT service in ***** for 2 years. I called ADT on march 2023 to let them know I have no intention to renew my 2 year contract and request to cancel my service after may 2023. They told me to call within 30 days of my contract termination date. I call again on may 9th, after telling a man to cancel my service, he asked me why. We had 2 homes (one being remodeled so we had to wait to move in) with ADT. We were told that as long as we had 2 accounts, we would not have to pay the fee for the contract of $1250 when we sold the first home and moved into the 2nd one permanently. We spent over 22 hours on hold or talking to reps who were useless. Now they have sent our debt to collections. BAD SERVICE!!! ADT nearly double charges me after I pay them monthly over a year. The total amount that I have already paid for them is more than the total amount of the 2-year contract. They cancelled the service and sent me to the collection agency without my knowing no notice at all.I want to request my money back from the amount that I paid to the collection agency so that my credit score will not be affected. Please HELP

ADT promotes everything great but the reality is the system itself and the ADT pulse app from your phone are pieces of garbage. Every time you add a new camera or add something new you are in a new contract, which stretches you out to another two years in a contract so I have had issues the entire time I have had ADT, cameras not working properly not recording as they should or not recording at all not being able to connect using my Pulse app if I forget to set the alarm when I leave home and not be able to do it from the ap... read more
