After 27 years with this company (Starting with Brinks, then bought by Broadview, then bought by ADT), I called to cancel my service. I tried to cancel on-line but you have to call. So I removed my credit card info from the account and called the number their chatbot gave me. The initial agent was very friendly and helpful. They asked me several questions to confirm my identity. 0 star review! Do not obtain services with this unprofessional company! They lie and manipulate words so that they can continue charging after you cancel services. Do not even bother calling them because they will transfer you close to 10 times and you will have to provide your account details numerous times to different representatives. I canceled my services at the end of Marcha and they continue to bill me to this day.
NEVER would recommend this company. A complete and utter scam. Severe issues with security system and the company could not care less. I will be contacting the attorney general.If I could rate 0 stars, I would.
When I decided to move ADT reviewed the installation fees claminging it would cost less than breaking my contract. After reviewing the fees they then took an additional fee that I never authorized out of my account. I was told I would be refunded but instead they decide they would go ahead and use it to pay two of my bills, without my permission. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with my entire life. First of all, I ordered them thinking this was a very reputable company in 2020. The arrived with what I ordered, installed and then tell me after all of this I had to sign a 3 year contract????? If I had known this beforehand, I would have never been their customer. I only have 3 door sensors and a doorbell camera. One of my door sensors hasn't worked in over a year and I have called many times. In trying to cancel my ADT service since I am moving from my home I was passed on from agent to agent to cancel. 2 hours later and I am still on the phone trying to cancel my service. Of course of all the things they offer as online services, cancellation isn't one of them. I will never use them again. Horrible customer service. If I could leave less than 1 star, I would.
Your customer service is astonishingly incompetent. I mistakenly made 2 payments for the month of September. I called this morning to cancel one of the payments and make sure the payment for September 2, 2023 was still posted. The technician told me he canceled the one which was not dated September 2, 2023. He did not and the payment cleared my account today. I called back to ensure that the payment for September 2, 2023 was cancelled and the tech told me it was. I don't believe him. ADT has been beyond unprofessional, rude, disrespectful, lack knowledge, and even threatening.I have had a billing issue with them from day 1. They have not taken their payment as scheduled and then wanted to charge me double. They leave you on hold for unacceptable amounts of time, they lied about the billing cycles, but didn't have a problem taking the money from the same card when I called to clear up an issue.
