Horrible customer service. I didnt need to call them until I decided to cancel their service. I found out theyve been charging me way over what they had promised me to hook me in. Ofcourse it was my shortcoming in trusting them. However when I called to cancel immediately when they found out Im cancelling they kept me waiting on the phone for over one hour passing me on from one so called agent to another n at the end they hung up on me n never called me back n kept charging me. I had ADT for a number of years. I also has some problems during those years that I had to pay for so they would send someone out. "sure whatever, I'll pay if I have to" We had them install a Doorbell camera and after the install the bell inside the house no longer worked. They said there was nothing they could do about it and I would need an electrician out to re-run the wiring. Please do yourself a favor and do not bother one minute with this unprofessional company where the sales representative has no idea what they are doing. They just keep transferring you over to someone who is useless. I moved from one state to another state and went from professionally installed to DIY Kit. Their phone service and just genral knowledge is horrible, and just concerning for a security service. My first issue with the instalation i called and had to go through their maze of phone walls to get to the right person. They refused to send someone to fix my door and after spending over an hour on the phone talking to someone re-instaling and resetting the keypad on the door i think they finally connected me with someone that directed me to somewhere on the app to change the code instantly. ADT has made the process to disconnect service, should you choose to breakup, extremely onerous with hold times exceeding 2 hours to speak with the only department able to handle those calls. I would not, under any circumstances, recommend ADT based on their abysmal customer service. This is clearly intentional, hoping youll give up, hang up, and allow them to continue charging you. The amount of time and effort it takes to make a change to your account standing is beyond excessive. Criminal.
HORRIBLE SERVICE!Over a year out of contract and only charged for maintaining the monitoring until I continued to research other security options as the cameras were never consistently working properly having to have techs come out from day one??. They were either not viewable or the clips werent being saved. Trying to speak with someone is like an all day job without getting paid. ADT employs unscrupulous business tactics! If I had the option, I would not even give them one star. I was with ADT for over 11 years. When I tried to cancel my account with them for monitoring services I was told I would have to be transferred to another department (wait time 42 minutes) or I could call back the next day. I asked why there was no place on the website to cancel the account and was told I had to contact the cancellation department. Dont start a contract with these people. Not only did they not tell me that they were signing me up for a 5 year contract, but have had three issues with their product on the last month. Still in the works for the third issue and this has been going on for a week. Something that should be a simple fix is not simple with ADT. Not only that but when you do finally get someone on the phone after your 45 minute wait, they usually either transfer you to another **** or disconnect the call. I have tried canceling my ADT subscription since 4/21/2023. My contract expired many years ago and I no longer wish to have their service. I have called over and over again and I get the runaround, I am put on hold over and over and then hung up on. I have sent them emails, letters and so forth. I have canceled my account which they were billing from but they keep sending me bill after ****. I have never seen anything like this before. I have no clue how to cancel this.
