I've been with company for almost a year. I called them one day to tell them that I was planning on moving and that I would need to shut off the service til I get moved then I would call them back to hook it back up. Then they charged me $2560.95 to my CC because I had it shut off. Then they charged me over $100.00 to turn it back on. I have called them 3 times because they were suppose to send me a refund in the mail and I still haven't received it. They keep giving me the run around and I'm getting tired of it. Can I give this company a ZERO, I have never had service like this before, when you call to complain, the wait time is long and they are always transferring you to other departments , only to have someone tell you that you have the wrong department and if they transfer you to the department that can help you, you will be waiting for over an hour. This company is going down and I will never recommend anyone else to buy with this company again!

I have had ADT for 20 years. After cost increases, I have finally decided to cancel as we just dont use it. I waited 65 minutes (it was supposed to be a wait time of 47 minutes) to talk to someone to cancel and still no answer. I hung up and pressed the number for new installation and someone answered right away. Every time I tried to call back and talk to someone about cancelling they kept transferring me to the same number with a wait time over an hour. **************** is horrible and they nickel and dime you. When you go to cancel, they tell you that your service will be on for 30 and try to charge you for it. I needed my carbon monoxide detector. They never installed everything they said they were going to.

please dont buy their contract. Horrible business practices and no service help. Way over-priced and faulty equipment. Its very sad that a company like this can continue to exist and do harm to the public. To me, it feels very, very corrupt. I wish I wouldve read the reviews first. I would never recommend or ever use ADT services again. Terrible waste of money.I have called repeatedly for service and never have I gotten any help. Today (07/24/2023) since morning I am trying cancel the ADT service. I am on hold for at least 6 hours and rotated to 7-8 customer service representative and account manager. However nobody helped to cancel the service. I am with ADT since 2011 and did not realize that ADT made the cancellation so difficult for their customer. I felt harassed for being on hold and ADT is trying reap my money by not cancelling my ADT service. Absolutely the worst security company I have ever experienced!! Worst customer service. Will not let you get out of contract. My contract ended 2 years ago and tried to cancel because the system didnt work the 2 years I had it. Then moved and decided to cancel and they wanted to keep me so they offered me a free system with no contract, just had to sign for the equipment which turned out to be another 2 year contract. First! The salesperson I spoke to on the phone said the most I would probably pay is 70 for residential and that is with doorbell cam device, cameras, smoke detectors, the works. I ended up paying just under 70 with no doorbell cam, 2 cameras and 4 smoke detectors. They come install it. The installer does his little pitch and we let him get to work. He installs 2 smoke detectors IN THE LIVINGROOM and 2 smoke detectors in the hallway RIGHT ACROSS FROM EACH OTHER! THEN he tell us we have 30 days if we decide we don't like the ... read more
