Protection 1 / ADT we have canceled our service with them on 5-30-23 and sent our payoff for the time we had left on our service contract. We have been trying to get an email letter from them since saying our service was done as of that date and have talked on the phone with a lot of reps saying ok we'll do that but instead, all they did was send our original contract from 2019 and a cancel form saying you may cancel this order within 3 business days which was years ago, All I want is a letter saying our service with them ha... read more

They dont stand behind their service. I had a camera installed and it didnt work right. They wanted to charge me to come out and fix it.

I moved and was charged 450 for equipment another 875 for cancellation. Which is ok standard breach of contract. I had an agent call me tell me we can credit you the 875 if you stay with adt pro or switch over to Adt plus. Benefits of plus as a renter u can move with it i said ok. Fast forward i get billed for the 875 on the 35 day of having the equipment. Called in nothing has changed tried canceling my new subscription however it was after 30 day trial. This place is a scam they trick you in to multiple contracts.

I have had ADT for many years. Frankly, they have always been terrible. After many complaints, a few years ago, they updated my panel which promptly broke within 2 months. They would not repair or replace without exorbitant service charges. I have finally canceled their garbage service. A service rep offered (via their 'retention' division) that my monthly can be lowered to $19/mo if I stayed. I have been a customer of ********************** for a few years. During this past year I have been going without their service frequently. It would always stop working. I called in February of 2023 to finally cancel my service. I would always get transferred around and left on hold. The calls were always so time consuming that my issue would never be resolved. I asked for Cameras and a doorbell device to be added to my system - they pushed the ****** system, fine OK what do I know? I spent over $1,000 to get the equipment, and per the agreement, tried to cancel, they kept me on the phone for now 80 minutes, most of it on hold. Sent me the wrong cameras and the wrong doorbell. I brought a house with good system already there, getting it activated is the absolute worst experience ever. A tech cames out says he can only activate half on my system the other half witch is cctv, these people do not know how to activate or fix their own equipment. Have been a customer of ********************** for over 4 years. The panel recently broke. It took 3 visits to get it repaired. Each visit cost us another $59. When the doorbell camera broke, they wanted another $59, so I called and complained. I asked for the 2nd and 3rd panel fees to be refunded. ADT refunded 1 but refused the other.Use another service and sure as h*** don't sign a contract with them. They will cheat you out of every nickel and dime and won't budge even to save a customer. Use Vivint.
