The absolute worst company , long wait times to speak with a customer service rep I almost feel like I was scammed by a so called repeatable company. My devices on my doors are not working properly and ADT wants to charge me 59 to come out and take a look at them . TRUST ME GO WITH ANOTHER COMPANY. The worst experience ever

Been trying for past 29 days to cancel my 34 yrs of service with ADT and it as been horrendous. Called on July 28th for service disconnection and told they would disconnect on August 27th and a credit refund $34.99 would be mailed to me in August. Well, what I received was a new bill due for Sept pymt. My unit doesnt work, called today and thought things were fixed, however that evening it starts beeping again. This after I had a service visit and then he called me back to say my unit isnt working right. Yet I pay my bill to have no service. Ill be glad when my contract is up

My parents have had their alarm system for over 30+ years. ADT took over Brinks, ADT of course gets people to upgrade their systems. Well, its great when they can sell something but actually getting the service you pay for is different. Their house burnt down at 3:57 a.m. and their fire/smoke detectors never went off. We are trying to get answers from ADT about the communications and automation on the back end and no one is willing to help. i received my quarterly bill in January 2023 which is paid for service in advance and wrote "cancel", signed my name, and sent it in. I got another notice and did the same. Then I got a phone call and I told their rep I had cancelled the service. The equipment was not working and I was working from home. She said the billing department was separate and could not cancel service. I would have to fill out paperwork. I did that and continued to get bills and phone calls. I never signed up with ADT. Thieves! I've been a customer for approximately 7 years with no issues until we moved. On 8/11, ADT deducted $535 from our account with no explanation. To date, we have only received an Excel spreadsheet of two bills that were consolidated. No call back from management as promised. I've tried disputing the charges, but they take the time to respond to that but not sending me a detail of all charges to date. ADT is not a good service. I cancelled my account on July 24. I told the agents that I no longer required there servicers. ADT had purchased ******** security which was where I had my service. I do not like the home security monitor rates for home security systems which are much higher than I previously had. The accounting system and customer business relation is OUT OURCED to the ****************** which makes understanding of complaints and refunds almost null and void. We have been a customer for over 11 years. We have had nothing but heartache since we signed up. Back in the spring of 2023 we tried to get a back door sensor mailed to us for replacement because the old one kept falling out & was eventually lost. Gave the rep the description of it because she did not have the right sensor on file. They still mailed me the wrong one. I like our service, but their 3 year contracts are predatory. There's absolutely no reason to lock people into a 3 year contract. We're moving out of the country for work, and they're forcing us to buy out our contract. It's absolutely ridiculous.
