Im beyond frustrated. We were sucked into a three year contract when we moved. When we got it on our first home we were told it was for three years and transferable to another property. When we moved after 18 months we called to finish the remaining portion of our contract and were told that program no longer existed and yo get out of the 18 months remaining we would have to pay the balance or sign up for a new contract. Fraudulent Company! Do yourself a favor and do not do any business with this company. We spoke to a representative for over 2 hours, building a security package. We settled on a price for the equipment and the monthly monitoring fee. They said we needed to make a $100 deposit before installation occurred and the remaining would be due once it was complete. 0. I have not had my cameras installed since March. I continue to reach out to ADT and I'm still being charged. I'm constantly hung up on and not taking seriously. I've asked for a technician to come to my house MULTIPLE times. They send someone who "cannot do anything to fix the issue" since ADT uses an outsourced technician. I'm getting no help. I want the equipment out of my house with a full refund. THEY ARE SCAMMERS.
If I could give ADT zero stars, I would. ADT lies to their customers. The dealers who act as ADT representatives lie to the customers. When we got this service 8 months ago, we specifically asked about what happens if we move. We were assured that the service would go with us...the cameras would stay...we would get new cameras at no cost. It's sad that BBB only lets you give minimum of 1 star. I would choose 0 starts. It's incredible how the reviews you see online are great but once we started with ADT it is horrible. I switched security systems from Brinks to ADT. A warning I want to provide to everyone is do not believe anything representatives say. They state the system is transferable once you move to another home. That is a lie. I called to cancel my service after many many years. I called well in advance of my billing cycle. When I finally thought I was done with them I got another bill. I called customer service they said it was their policy to charge one extra month to close everything out. I asked to speak to a supervisor and they said he was off today. Very unprofessional. I fulfilled my obligations to this company with the contract then paid on time for 15 plus years only to be treated like this. Very sad

They were told they offered a service that is required by insurance, but they don't, which of course wasn't revealed until after their trial period was over. ADT is the worst company Ive ever tried to work with; their customer service is so disorganized and unprofessional I cringe every time I have to call them. They cannot solve the simplest problem, such as replacing cameras that they installed which were not the cameras that we ordered. I have talked and pleaded with two technicians, Solutions advisor twice, five account managers and at least five customer service reps *** this morning September 5. ADT service is awful. Every time I call to talk to someone, it takes at least 20 minutes to get a person to answer. When they do answer, their answering equipment is so bad that they are all muffled and difficult to understand.In addition, they raise their rates by 20% without even informing me of the rate increase. A 20% increase is very egregious given that it is over twice the inflation rate and 3 times the **** percentage us retired people receive.I would recommend anyone to go elsewhere for their security system.When yo... read more
