Like your other reviewer, I would leave zero stars if I could. The customer service is awful! I keep trying to cancel my service and they keep hanging up on me! They ask me why I want to cancel and when I say, it doesn't matter, I just want to cancel my service - click! They hang up. This is after being on hold for hours!
ADT nightmare, stay away from them. After 17 years of service they wrote a new contract to update some old equipment, ties me up for 3 more years. 8 months after signing the contact, I needed to relocate was hit with a final bill on $1083. Got no credit for my 17 years of service with them, they could care less.
I had an issue with my internet network connection that was caused by the introduction of my new Google Nest security camera. I called the salesman for help. Left a voicemail msg 2x. I also texted him 1x. He ignored all my attempts. I called ADT direct. They referred me to a Google specialist who after 2 hrs, corrected the problem. The name of the ADT salesman who sold me the system was ********* *****. He's unprofessional and not a good representative of ADT. BUYERS BE WARE!<br /> <br /> <br /> <br class="t-last-br" />
I have been the ADT customer for 9 years, last year my old system stopped functioning and they force me to upgrade which is fine and made me sign a ******************************************* home and wanted to transfer the account to the new owner they said I can not and change the account I still have to pay for the remaining of my contract which was **** dollars. Had the service for 5 years, they were always quick to answer calls if you are giving them money, but ADT uses obnoxiously long wait times as a tactic to deter you from canceling the service.
Company refused to cancel our account after multiple calls over 6 months, then charged us fees because we weren't paying. We had no contract with them, they just chose not to record any of our cancelation requests and then were "so sorry" they couldn't waive the fees they charged us as a result. When it comes to canceling your service with ADT, you initially go through an automated flow to get to the correct place. However, when the representative answers, you go through what you think will be a quick process, but they transfer you to another "specialist" and then have to wait an ungodly amount of time on hold. I had to go through this process with 3 different people and was on hold for an hour only for them to transfer me to Safe Haven, an ADT dealer. I am stuck in a contract for 3 years with an alarm service that does not work the way I was told and completely lower grade from the last 2 places I had ADT. I have been held hostage with this company with them fully knowing I haves used their service over 4 years in 2 other locations and to con me into another 3 years with a lower service. I have complained numerous times and their money back guarantee is a huge lie. Most of what they say is a lie. Stay away from this company they are criminal
ADT owes me $1700 for double charging me and they refuse to pay. I was paying on a house that I no longer lived at, that was supposed to be canceled, as well as the house I moved to. I told them I was moving from TN to VA and they said I could transfer services and didnt need to cancel. I got all set up in VA and they had me sign a contract.
