NIGHTMARE... HORRIBLE SERVICE, UNRESPONSIBLE, NOT TRUST WWORTHY AND SCAM ARTIST ...INVASION OF PRIVACY We recently upgraded our keypads and it was the worse mistake ever. Nobody advised that the new key pads have cameras. Yes, if you have a keypad in your bedroom it takes images of you as you arm and disarm the system. If I could leave negative stars, I would. This company lives up to its name *************** customer for 5 years and decided I wanted to cancel the contract. I understood and was prepared to pay the cancellation fee, as agreed to in the contract. Trying to get it actually canceled took almost 3 hours and 10 phone calls to get it done. Then they hiked the rate and would not provide the mailing address to put my dispute in writing, which is required by the contract. I am more and more frustrated each time I have to speak to someone from this company. If I had not just purchased over $1000 worth of equipment, I would cancel my service. I am actually considering just canceling my service and calling the money a loss at this point. Here are my concerns: first of all, I have two addresses, listed on my account, one of which I have not lived at since 2016 and the other of which I sold in June. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ADT! They grossly overcharge for their equipment that does not work properly. I have no confidence that my system would work since some component is not working at any given time. Also, when their crappy equipment malfunctions, they charge you to come service it. Unfortunately, Im stuck with them due to their contracts that do not allow you to cancel without paying 75% of the remaining contract. STAY AWAY FROM ADT!
I have had the worst experience with ADT. Back and forth since around first of August 2023 and to this day, no resolution. I opted to have ADT installed in my home. I asked for the *** install. changed my mind. Just call ADT. Change *** to a technician. Started calling around 8/8 just to see what the cost to get a professional to install. ADT is the WORST! I purchased a system with cameras and 2 pads only to have issues the same week it was installed! After 9 calls, 11 emails and 4 VM's left on the sales guys cell, someone FINALLY called and scheduled a tech to come out. it worked for a few more days, but the cams were slow and the front doorbell almost NEVER worked! Approximately 2 years ago I called ADT to add service. 2 outdoor cameras and a smoke detector. The woman I spoke with was friendly and told me there was no early pay off penalties. In March, the following year I paid off the cameras and the smoke detector. Fast forward to this month (September 2023) I called to cancel only to find out they have not deemed my contract fulfilled.
