Terrible to do business with. They make discontinuing service a time consuming task. Purposely try to block your effort to terminate. Very ugly

I have called multiple times to cancel, and they continually put you on hold, and transfer you, in the hopes that you hangup so they can continue to bill you. I canceled on August 29, 2023 and October 4, 2023. They had me on hold over 2 hours for both calls. They asked the same questions in an attempt to bully you into keeping the account. The practices are improper and I can see how the elderly can become very frustrated and taken advantage of.

The sales rep had commission breath at first glance and did not protect my doors just so desperate to get that faulty ****** camera on my door which did not have a chime to it nor does it capture most events happening right in front of my eyes and when I brought this to her attention she had no accountability and flat out blamed the technician for an order she placed for me herself! I honestly wouldnt even give them one star!!!! They installed cameras in my home that dont do what I was told theyd do. They put several holes in my walls and left dirty hand prints on my walls, I have wires hanging down my wall that look unsightly!!! My husband has called them several times and no one will call back or come fix the problem or the holes in my walls!! We are extremely unhappy with the unprofessionalism of this company. Totally disappointed!!

I just received the latest billing increase to over $60/month. I tried, through three different processes to cancel my subscription. Two phone agents and a web site. I spent about an hour on hold or talking/chatting with these agents. The only thing I was told is to call yet another number and expect another 30-minute wait. I find it unconscionable to frustrate customers in this manner.

We were ADT customers for many years but canceled earlier this year (2023) after multiple technical failures (alarms constantly beeping in the middle of the night - and only in the middle of the night) and lots of hidden fees. ********* the service took several tries but was finally completed. What to do with the leftover hardware (the electrical panel, keypad, sensors)? ADT should retrieve their goods, correct? Wrong. Like most satellite services, their junk is your problem. Lets start with the statement I got yesterday. (10/2/3). I phoned ADT and OF COURSE, was online a 1/2 hr. Their customer service is a NIGHTMARE! It is next to impossible to get ahold of a live person and you are left on hold forEVER! I'm currently on hold (have been for 30 minutes) and am wanting to cancel the service. Makes me wonder if they are hoping I'll hang up and give up. This is the 3rd call I've made today........

Attempting to cancel my service due to a military move, and was shocked at the run-around I was put through. I was on the phone for over an hour, shuttled to multiple representations, each claiming they could not help and had no idea why I was sent to them. All of this was clearly a well thought out strategy to create barriers to customers cancelling. I recommend the BBB launch an investigation into these business practices, and moreover that customers steer clear of ADT as a whole. I would not recommend them to anyone!
