I have tried to work out things with ADT since day one. This system has not worked in its proficient... I also have jumped through many of hoops with ADT to give them an opportunity to service this system To make it right.. They just don't care. I have also asked to cancel service. They will not cancel service. They are pretending that they don't know what I'm talking about..... I am tired now. I have had ADT for 11 years and found a better system. I have called ADT multiple times to cancel, and they continually put you on hold, and transfer you, in the hopes that you hangup so they can continue to bill you. I canceled on October 6 and October 9, 2023. They had me on hold over 2 hours for both calls. They asked the same questions in an attempt to bully you into keeping the account. I got scammed by ADT. Their customer service is the most horrendous experience ever. Their sales people claim their monthly monitoring covers any expense like moving cameras. This is not true. It is solely a warranty on top of your equipment and installation charges. They do not take **** gift cards. Do not us them for your FlexFi account as it will reverse and then you have to pay the amount you attempted with the gift card. Mine was unfortunately the amount of $1,500. Never again.

I called ADT to cancel my account. Once it was determined that I wanted to cancel I was put on hold for over an hour, about 1.5 hours. ADT is despicable, if you want service they will accommodate you within 2 minutes, if you want to cancel your service they will accommodate you within 2 hours.

My tale of woe with ADT started in the summer of 2022 when we moved into a house that already had an ADT security package installed. They told us we could use the Nest cams we already owned, but when the tech showed up it turned out to be a lie. Ever since then, every single time I've had to call their customer service center it's an absolute nightmare. Today was the last straw when our ADT "smart" thermostat died AGAIN in less than a year. I dont even know where to begin with this complaint. Weve been an ADT customer for close to 30 years and rarely have had the need to really rely on them for anything except some equipment issues due to normal wear and tear. However, the service we have received in the past month has been just enough to help me decide to switch to another company. This is the worst company I have ever work with, my contract was up on 8/29/23, When I tried to call and cancel 9/26/23 was told I still owed $64.30, say I was suppose to give them 30 day notice to cancel. (I was put on hold for close to 1-1/2 hours) After spending half my day on the phone being transferred from one person to another. I finally got to someone that could cancel it, After her having put me hold on & off of for 30 minutes. Had service for 10 years if you want to call it that. Went to cancel service after going with another company and got the biggest run around from customer service. After waiting long time periods to speak to someone told them what I wanted to do they placed me on hold or hung up. Played this game just about all day. Finally spoke to someone that seemed to care and got it cancelled. If you call about getting service lighting fast service. Buyer beware this company is garbage and only about the money and contracts.<br />
