I would NEVER recommend this company after the experience we had trying to get a medical alert for my mom. After coming home for hospital with a new diagnosis which her medication causes her to be dizzy, etc we decided to get her an alert button. I called ADT and they told me that they had a bracelet (which is what she insisted on), and that she could still go outside to walk her dog, etc as it had a range of over 600ft. I just purchased a new home and started using ADT for the first time a few weeks ago; I'm already regretting my decision. As I expected, the technician who installed our devices when we started service attempted to sell us much more than we needed. That aside, we use ADT Pulse to control or security system - this included going into the ADT Pulse website to set up alerts/automations. I was a customer with ADT for over 15+ years, with 3 different homes. I recently moved from an apartment. I fulfilled a 3 year contract with ADT services. I tried to contact ADT regarding my lease ending and I was transferred to sign up for a new account. I moved out of the apartment and subsequently received a bill, 5 months later at my new home. This company is useless. They lie, and nobody takes responsibility for their poor customer service. The equipment is outrageous and you pay a pretty penny for their service supposedly for ADT and they don't fix things when they aren't working and tell you well the rest of the system is working. We have had problems with the equipment since it was installed. Today was the third time they were supposed to come to fix the problem and nobody came. Horrific company. Never ever use this company or ADT. If you want to be ripped off then choose them. Moving service will never get done and you will be without a working system but still for to pay for monitoring for three years with no functioning system. They don’t show up to do installations. Horrific
One of those I would leave 0 of 5 if that was possible. I have been in my new house less than a month and every single day (sometimes 3 or 4 times a day) an ADT sales person has come up to my front door. One of them was waiting outside my house for me to get home. (I thought it was a neighbor's car till I watched him get in and drive off) They all keep congratulating me on the new home and i have no idea where they are getting their info. The managers and ADT ought to be ashamed for making this poor kid go out and knock door to door and endangering his health so they might get one or two customers.
My mom had to cancel her service because she is having to sell her home and moving out of state. When my parents moved into the home a year ago they ended up signing a 3 year contract, this was going to be their forever home. When my mom called to notify them she was needing to cancel the service and selling the home and moving out of state they just told her they are charging her $700 since she decided to move.
