Tried to get a quote from them. They transferred me to another rep and then hung up on me. I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
I would not recommend ADT Alarm System. I have had many issues. 1: The company called promoting a deal on the System on a Sunday in which I preferred not to be bothered. I said not interested but through pressure an installer was sent out from Red Deer. 2: When he arrived I said that I did not want the alarm installed as I could not afford the payments. This company misrepresents who they are at initial sign-up. A promotion was sent out to sign-up for home security with ADT. This is false. ADT is only providing monitoring service and not able to assist you with the equipment or relocation services. ADT claims that they are working on getting rid of this company because they recognize that they receive multiple complaints about it but can't assist me. This company, Defenders, Inc. dab Protect Your Home is out there using a national email advertising company that seems to specialize in pornography. I am currently getting 40 - 50 emails sent in batches of which 5 are ads for this company and the other 35 - 45 are for porn sites. The thing all these emails have in common is the link to unsubscribe referring to the following address: 610 Jetton Street Ste 120, #1001 Davidson, NC 28036. This company has THE WORST customer service. I would never sign up for this service ever again. Every person I spoke to had a different answer related to my issue. No consistency in problem resolution. Then they tried to tell me I had to pay a $99 fee to have a tech come to my home to upgrade my system because they upgraded to 5G. I knew nothing about any existing customers under contract being required to pay for any system upgrades. How ridiculous! Stay away!
This company has the worst customer service. They send you back and forth from Defenders to ADT, although they merged no one can help you. Called one day transferred and disconnected a total of 16 times. Got service in Dec. They lost our contract and cut our service, then said you cant cancel due to contract penalty. ADT then reconnected. They said we will bill you instead of taking payment out. Got a letter today they deducted payment from a credit card I told them to take out of the system from day 1.
I only gave 1 Star because it does not allow to put no stars Customer Service is absolutely terrible I been trying to cancel my service since we started the install was terrible Inwas not given everything in my order I was made promises that were not fulfilled my alarm has gone off to no response I get attitude from every single representative I speak with they force my bank to pay the monthly fee by first making you pay the $99 then charging 2 months in advance creates an established relationship which does not allow your b... read more
This company pulls credit scores without consumer authorization. None of its documents indicate such alert or notice to such effect. This seems peculiar since it uses a customer credit card for payments.
This company had me put a deposit to have someone come to my home to give me a quote. I canceled that request within less than 2 hours of making it after seeing the negative reviews this company has and realizing that it was not really ADT but some king of subsidiary. They told they would reimburse me the deposit cost, which they never did, then they are now calling me to tell me that I owe them money.
