I called to cancel my service and was directed to that department. The man on the phone began to explain that it takes 30 days to cancel service. I said "No, No, No", he said "Ma'am let me finish explaining and then you can ask your questions." After he finished he asked me if I had any questions, and then hung up. What kind of service is that? I am never going to use this service again. You need better customer service representatives! Good bye!

They send people to my door try to tell me it comes with the house trying to get me to buy a plan even though I clearly already have a security service. They leave things in my door and wont stop sending me mail.

Defender ran my credit WITHOUT my authorization. When I called to see who called with my information they told me I must have given someone my information to run my credit which is completely mind boggling to me. When I called to get the situation rectified they kept hanging up on me. I still have no resolution and a hard credit check on my credit

I called to cancel the service last summer, because it was intermittent when we were on vacations. just shotty service. Was going to get one of these new self-systems. So I get customer retention, who tell me they would upgrade me from Pulse Equipment/Service to Command Equipment/Service, if I stayed and that it wouldn't fail when I was away. ADT keeps saying people are going to show up to repair faulty alarm system and they never show up, we never received the 100$ gift card, yet they want there money faithfully every month. When we turned them into the BBB all they did was send us a copy of a invalid/ wrong contract, they promised a credit... never seen that happen and it was 2 months ago. We were broken into twice, they dont honor their 6 month contract nor do they reimburse the 500.00 deductible that your insurance has for your deductible. BUYER BEWARE RUN DO... read more

3 years ago I bought a new home and asked ADT to come in and set up my security system. I did not realize at the time that the commitment was 3 years. Usually contracts are 1 year. That said I was stuck even though I had lost my job and had to struggle to make the payments. A few weeks ago I asked for the payout which was $280 to get rid of this service. I ordered Protection 1 from ADT and returned the items within 30 days. This was back in December of 2018, according to the representative I just spoke to. Now, in January of 2020, I received a bill for $75.00 stating they would be sending my account to collections if I did not pay. Apparently there was a fee for restocking their products, yet somehow there wasn't a bill for over a YEAR and now they decide to send one?? Salesman assured me no penalty's for getting out of the contract. 1000$ to cancel the system. Then they have no record of him being my salesman and told me he is not a representative of the company and he is subcontractor but ADT won't let me out of contract. System is junk, false alarms, junk cameras. I have been ripped off. I will not recommend. Will be seeking legal advice from my lawyer as well.

This company's customer service is one of the worst I've ever had to deal with. I have been a customer for 15 years and have two properties with ADT. In the past six months I have had major issues with both alarm systems and the customer service I have received has wasted more of my life than I ever would choose to spend on something like this.
