I give ZERO stars! I called *** 15th letting them know I wanted my contract to be over with when it came final on June 22nd. They told me I would have to call back in June. I called back yesterday letting them know again that I wanted my service to end. I was then told I have to give a 30 day notice to cancel. I DID that on *** 15th!! I gave more than a 30 day notice. .Offer was to reactivate my system that was only 3 years old, $19.95 monitoring for first 12 months and $36 thereafter. Once technician arrived instead of activating my system he told me that system is too old and won't work. I informed him that system works perfectly and it is only 3 years old. Terrible service and pathetic customer support. Even after techs were dispatched to repair, the equipment was faulty so I canceled. Now they're trying to collect the balance of the contract but failed to deliver the service. Good luck trying to speak with a supervisor! Wrong departments! Misinformation! Hangups! Better Business Bureau - given the reviews, how can ADT have an "A" rating? "F" would be more like it.
I would leave zero stars if I could. Every time we call for a service on our camera system, they send a tech who doesn't have the tools to work on cameras. We have spoken to numerous representatives, and still have yet to hear back about when a tech will be here. However, they are quick to tell me that I owe them over $100, which was an error on their part which was supposed to be fixed in May (it is now the middle of June). I think when our contract is up, we will go with a "Ring" type system.
We had a wired system in place that the previous home owner used without issues. Protect Your Home identified themselves as ADT, but didn't make it clear that they were a provider, rather than ADT themselves. We were told the previous system didn't work. The tech removed it without asking and told us that we'd need a new system, but not to worry because we had a $2200 equipment credit. I was with ADT for 16 years, and decided to go another direction. When calling ADT they were very nice, and offered me everything under the to sun stay. When they were told "No". That's when it all changed. I got another call, and asked them not to call me during working hours. The next time I got a call, they turned a 180, and were very nasty with me. DO NOT GET ADT! Where to begin? From the get go my business name was misspelled by their agent. I called to get it corrected was assured it was corrected, however mailed statements said otherwise. The technician that set up everything was unprofessional, didn't bring the cover for the white metal box the wires are in.
