STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! Do not purchase anything from ADT! Their goal is to lock you into a contract. None of their products work properly and efficiently. Their surveillance cameras are garbage! The cameras keep dropping off of the network and won't stay connected. Technicians do not know how to fix them. Tecs do not have any faith in their own product. Control panel is easy to hack into. The Better Business Bureau need to reassess their rating. Should NOT be A+.
Absolutely awful. Contract was totally misrepresented to me and key details of the agreement were not made apparent or clear upfront. You have 72 hours to cancel the contract however I was not informed of this nor do i feel that is ample time to discern if the system is a good fit for me since I'd never used it before. They do not account for a learning curve at all. we rented a house and had adt installed. we were told that once we buy a house or relocate they would be able to transfer our system to our new place... well here we are a year later and asked for it to be transferred and they told they cant do that. i will have to buy new equipment.. ohhh but i cant get discount on new equipment. after i just paid thousands of dollars they say i can get a discount on equipment. and that they dont transfer gear!!!! my husband and i are outraged right now!!!!!
This company practices classic bait and switch with its promise of a $100.00 visa gift card if you get the security system from them and have ADT monitor. They do not make clear that they are not actually ADT. Well now I believe ADT may have bought them out but ADT cannot or will not accept any responsibility for the promise of the $100, ADT will not even talk about it. 0 stars. As others have mentioned, their sales tactics are aggressive and deceptive, to the point of outright lying on some key points when compared to the actual contract. I'll go over what they told me in person, then compare it to the contract and also compare their services and prices to other companies. Bait & switch. Was quoted one price for a bundle of equipment but they said it didn't get processed. They stated they had on record that I had spoken with someone but that the representative didn't make a quote so then they upped the price. Of course, they then recorded that quote and will not honor the initial quote that they even agreed happened. Make certain you receive things in writing from these people because they will try to rip you off.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Dishonest Company! Erroneous charges, inconsistent communication. Be ware!
We've been with ADT for a number of years. Had a system installed at our old house and never had any issue. When we were about to move, I called to discontinue service since we didn't have a new house yet. The account rep urged us to put the account on hold and call them back when we moved. This is *** ********-***** asking for your help with my ADT service at *** S ******* ****** ***** ************** XXXXX.I have had THREE false burglar alarms between Wed July 15 and today July 20. What is so frustrating is that the police came to my office Wed July 15th for no reason then I receive a letter in the mail stating I have 1 false alarm recorded so far.
