I had a faulty panel (loud beeping that could not be turned off coming from the panel)and ADT came out to repair and or cancel the service since I do not use the service at all. Instead they sold me on $900 of upgrades. At the time of install they were unable to install $400 off video doorbell equipment. They still charged me nearly $700 for the upgrades. Worst service EVER of ANY company I have EVER dealt with. You wait on hold for hours. They LIE and tell you that they will send technicians to your home to FIX their failiing equipment, and then call you the DAY of the service to tell you that they are not coming. And you listen, while you're on hold for HOURS about how important it is to have protection in your home, but their equipment doesn't work, so how are you protected? I would NEVER recommend to anhone.
I called for a keypad upgrade and I had an tech come out nice man but my system is worse now than ever. He was physically unable to move around the space to get to the area to program the system. Once be finished he had to come back because my keypad kept popping off the wall. I have been plagued with problem after problem with ADT system. From equiptment failure to extremely poor customer response time. A dealer installed an outdated system in my house and one of my sensors failed, I called ADT for repairs and I was advised that parts are no longer available for my unit which I was paying additional for warranty. Been lied too by multiple agents since day one of contact. Still have not received my gift cards I was told I would get to help with my bill and to pay for the install. Which as of now was not free at all. I have done everything the company has asked paid every penny request. ADT has failed to deliver what they have promised at the rates they quoted. Worst company EVER! They have an issue processing my debit card and they call me repeatedly and are incredibly RUDE! I can't even get out of my contract because of it! They call and threaten me about my past due bill that they can't process! My thoughts are if they can't fix their system to be able to take debit card payments correctly then how do I know my home is even protected! They need to hire some people who actually care about their customers! I will tell everyone I know to NEVER use them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Spoke with Timothy who offered me the service at 27.99 once I told Timothy I spoke with ADT and was offered “such and such at this price” he immediately told me if I already spoke with corporate they can’t help me and that my address will be red in the system.. the same system that he told me he see it’s a new home and told me all the information needed. **** company uses deceptive billing and cancellation "policies". I was a 12 year customer and when I canceled today after moving over the weekend I was told in a very patronizing tone that I should have canceled 30 days ago because it takes 30 days to "process a cancellation". What a baldfaced LIE. It took 15 minutes on hold just to get to a representative who then took 5 more minutes clicking boxes on what must have been a dozen screens to cancel me. What a rifpoff, scam of a company.
I signed up for ADT and cancelled the next day. They took money from my account for the first 2 months of service before the 3 day cancellation window. That was 6 weeks ago & they have still not returned the funds. Whoever I talk to says either the check is in the mail or there is nothing they can do! This has got to be illegal! With all the complaints I am reading in this site, I have no idea how they can have an A+ rating!
