I purchased security cameras in September 2020 (literally 4 months ago) and I have had to call at least once a week every week since then to technical support due to one of the cameras always stops recording clips, a technician has came out to my home 3 times and replaced one of the cameras then the other camera starts doing the same thing, the technicians blamed it on my date then my wifi so upon their accusations then I have upgraded wife as well as data but still have the same issues with one of the cameras and the tech s... read more

I have been an ADT customer for a total of 20 years. We got new equipment installed less than 2 years ago. Our technician was also their salesman so when he gave us the new equipment price with all the discounts, we pondered the idea. We knew we were going to be moving and asked him several times if we would be able to bring the system with us. Probably the worst US company I have dealt with. I don't write a lot of reviews but this one is so outrageous that I decided to do. I'd stay a world away from this company. I ordered a service and requested 5 cameras. Was told each cost $299 plus $299 activation fee. The technician could not install them and do I returned them (after multiple attempts and delays). Disgusting! At times like this when people are forced to leave their home big companies like this still take advantage of hurting people forcing them to pay for services no longer being used due to a contract claim. Come on! It's disgusting and heartless! You really think customers will return to a heartless group like this when they do get back on their feet and a new home? Never! I know I won't!

Upon review of the account, Mr. ****** verbally extended his contract in exchange for a lowered rate. This has resulted in Mr. ****** incurring contract termination charges. As a gesture of goodwill, ADT has waived these charges.

When being sold my ADT plan, I was informed of the 90 day money back guarantee, it was set up at the basic rate but if I wanted the upgraded equipment, tell the tech and he will provide and move me to the next level of payment. The appointment time was sent to me via email at 12:00am so we didn't know when the tech would arrive. The tech showed up, no ID, no mask and no ladder, he climbed some shelves and my couch to put on sensors. We had to ask him to put on a mask since Covid restrictions. They lie to get your account knowing it's impossible to cancel once they complete the sign up. The lady I spoke with asked me did I want an 16 month contract and I agreed because she mentioned that was the lowest contract they had. I mentioned several times I live in an apartment and didn't need that but again, I was told they didn't offer anything less. I agreed and several months went by and I never had time to hook up and set up everything because I have the adt blu which is a another side of adt for those with not so goo... read more

Upon review, Ms. ****** attempted to cancel outside of her 30 Day trial period & was therefore locked into the contractual agreement. Ms. ****** was offered a 2 month credit to continue the service, which was accepted.

2nd call...After 1 hour and 5 transfers; nothing resolved! I was a long time customer who called to cancel my account over a year ago; services never canceled. I just so happened to check my bank account and first chatted online; then called only to be told they had no record of my calls; which is BS and they could only cancel from todays date. This company lied everything they can to keep you contract with an unfair deal, after the contract is signed they just kicking ball for following up request and keep you waiting on the phone FOREVER, they used false sale tactic to confuse and trick customer to buy their service but never provide service we deserved, customer service department is a nightmare, they ask you so many questions then transfer you to another department, again and again but never solve the mistake they have made on my account.
