Couldn't cancel service after more than 30 minutes on phone and one disconnect from their billing dept. One cannot cancel online. I cancelled because the monthly fees kept escalating. I, too, would give zero stars if possible.

Buyer beware!! Terrible service, outdated equipment, overpriced, and will not cancel charging you extra even after cancellation. Poorly installed and extremely antiquated equipment. Due to move I had to cancel the service. It seems that I had to give a month notice to cancel so they made me pay an extra month of service in a house that I'm not even occupying. BUYER BEWARE- THIS COMPANY WILL INCREASE YOUR RATE AT ANY TIME THROUGHOUT THE CONTRACT!! I signed a contractual agreement with ADT on December 12/26/2018 for 36 months for $30.99. Throughout the last 2 years my monthly charges have increased twice to $38.46 and then again to $41.25 according to my statements. One star because it's not possible to give no stars. On Jan. 27, I scheduled a service call to replace the battery on my main panel unit, something that must be done by a technician. They were supposed to be here today between 8 and 12. At 11:45 I called and they said, "Oh, very sorry, but we won't be able to make it out today." I've been sitting here since before 8 waiting for them, when I had other things I'd rather have been doing. The next appointment they have is April 8! I have called multiple times since last year to cancel my service, but ADT keeps charging me. Every time I call I the agent reconfirms that I have moved and canceled my service back in August of 2020, but ADT keeps charging me! I lost my job and had to sell my house due the pandemic and find it disgusting that ADT continues to steal money from former customers. They need to learn to take "no" for an answer. I don't appreciate getting harassed a minimum 3 times a day and getting my voicemail filled up after blocking their number. Being hounded with phone calls is NOT how you encourage people to sign contracts with your business.

Hands down awful experience. Sales Rep poorly trained and informed on the product resulting in a bad installation and plan design. 7+ weeks post installation and still not working. Dozens of false alarms at all hours of the day and after promising to remove the gear 2 weeks ago, not a single follow-up communication. And they still charged for the service after confirming payments would be suspending until resolution was found. Overall, monitoring services are great! Be very careful purchasing added security i.e., cameras for home or doorbell. Their end result is getting you sold and in between and the end, getting more money from you than what was agreed or discussed. NEVER EVER do AUTO PAY!
ADT is the worst security company ever! Satay away from them! Very expensive and unfair bills! I switched happily to Ring and am paying only $10 for professional monitoring with Ring! I forgot to pay my final balance with them and they sent my bill to a collection agency after three years of being a loyal customer to them! I can't detest them more!!! I would give them ZERO star if I could!
