If I could give ADT zero stars, I would. We live in Ellicott City, Maryland and attempted to have our security system swtiched to ADT. It took ADT over 20 hours over the course of 3 days to attempt to install the security system and it is still not installed properly. The alarm goes off randomly at various times throughout the day for no reason. Three technicians have attempted to install the security system and it continuously does not work. I received a quote from ADT on an ADT recorded line and was told all details agreed on would be in the contract. I received the email with the contract while the rep was on the phone and let her know that is appeared some agreed upon details were not included. She said no problem, corrected the contract, sent it back x3. I have been an ADT customer since 2002. The poor service over the years whenever there is a problem with my system has reached new heights of incompetence. I would urge anyone considering an alarm system to use anyone except ADT. My latest issue has required me to schedule four service calls (They give a four hour window for your appointment - so four half days of missed work!) and the issue has yet to be corrected. I recently purchased an ADT system with 5 cameras. The installation was not as planned as the technician who sold the system did not provide critical information regarding the package. I would not purchased the package if this information would have been provided. Once you reach the limit on the allotted clips saved per month, the system will stop recording additional clips for the remaining of the month, even if you delete clips from the system. When I first signed up with ADT everything went smoothly. Within the last year it has been hell. I received a call from one of their reps stating that there was about $300 left on my contract and if I wanted to pay it off. I said sure! I can definitely do that. Months go by thinking I was done with them I get a call stating I still owe $400. I told them I already paid that amount and wanted to cancel. They tell me they will cancel the account. ADT's installation provider, Secure 24, has a serious customer care problem in that they are only open M - F, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. Central time. If you have an issue within your first 90 days of installation, you're out of luck. If you try to escalate an issue, it will go nowhere and the Director of Installation, **** ****** will not take your call. ADT persuaded my husband and I into putting their system in our newly constructed home before we had electricity, assuring us that there would be no issues. We've now had ADT security since 8/1/21 and to date our key fobs still do not work. It took ADT over 2 months to get the mudroom/garage and bedroom keypads working and the single garage door was also not working properly (it was missing the contact). After makeing countless calls to get someone to help me after a tech came out and put in 5 window sencers and a control box of so called free equipment there was no luck after moveing to a new company 30 days later and called to cancel they are forceing me to pay 1300 in cancel fees and there way to fix the issue is give me more free stuff but it took me trying to cancel for them to contact me and sence then have got 4 calls to try and keep me

ADT has a 3 Day Right to Rescind to cancel without penalty. Mr. Andres was installed on 03/08/2021. He did not cancel within the 3 Day period. He did not contact ADT until 04/14/2021.
I got blue by ADT and it is the worst. We had problems since day one. The motion Sensors not working, cameras not staying charged like we was told and a supervisor told us to try the chime extension. I told them our 30 days was almost up and we wanted to cancel. She assured me that the extender would work and if not we could still cancel with no fee if it passed ** days.
