Terrible company. I had my house under contract, and called to cancel my service. The young women I spoke to said she took care of it. She actually lived in the canton as well. Then as noticed I kept getting charged 2 months after i had sold my house and moved states. I had to call again and they told me they had no record of me calling. My account was very closed. We purchased our home in Aug. 2019 had an older ADT system already installed that the previous owner had not used. We contacted ADT; a salesperson came to the house and said no new equipment needed to be installed. We agreed to go forward with ADT on a month-by-month basis as we were not yet familiar with our new neighborhood. By mid 2021, and after the Covid fiasco, we chose to cancel the monthly service as (a) part of the system was not working and, (b) we no longer felt ADT was needed. Me and my girlfriend decided to try ADT because my grandparents have been a customer of ADT for YEARS and they never had any issues. So one night me and my girlfriend called ADT to find out that we were only qualified for Blue By ADT because we were renters. So we payed $83 right off the bat for shipping and for what we thought was the first month bill in advance. ADT customer service is worthless. My system was alarming long range radio at 3AM repeatedly. I called in to have it cleared. I was transferred by the first rep, the 2nd rep couldn't help me, the 3rd was having computer issues and the 4th said he couldn't hear me and suggested I get a screw driver. I pay monthly for monitoring without fail and never calling for anything and the first time I call in no one can assist me.. it's time to get another security system!

I received a Communication Update Service Appointment Needed in the mail. Called and made an appointment. First lets say, we work nights first responders, when we have time off its very well managed. the appointment was between 12 and 5pm. on the day of the UPDATE, we sorta waited around the house, doing all the chores and WAITING. we called the customers service within the last hour 4-5pm asking if they knew when, anything, it was only then, after WE called ADT that they didn't have the part available to complete the update... read more

ADT is a dishonest and corrupt company that doesn't deliver on service and also tries to swindle you with false information about their contract transfers. I was told my 3-year term was transferred to my new place and when I was moving again was confirmed by the ADT professional. Only to find out they signed me to a second 3-year term when I called them to cancel because I'm moving. This Company does business in bad faith and lies constantly. A customer service agent I spoke with at 4 something am on Tuesday gave me an appointment for Weds May 26,2021 to resolve my alarm issue, but she didn't put my appointment in until about five hours later which caused me loose the 8am - noon slot we discussed and she didn't 't have the courtesy to give me a call to inform me . Which caused a big inconvenience and canceling of other obligations. I'm not happy about this and hope that others don't have to experience this... I am not an ADT customer. I recently moved into a new house (~10 months ago). From the beginning they were sending people to knock on my door. I talked to two salesmen and had two notes stuck on my door. After the last note on my door, I called them and told them I wasn't interested (apparently talking to the two salesmen who came by did nothing). This company unauthorized $351 out of my bank account and I am catching hell trying to get it back! First they say I didn't return their equipment when there is proof and verification that all equipment was returned reasonable time, no warning or communication about they not having their equipment.
