Poor customer service. They don't pick up phone. On hold for more than one hour.
I call to cancel my service and after being told to call numerous departments I finally got someone to help cancel my service. She was very friendly but as things were being closed I was told it will take 30 days to cancel the service and ill get a bill for July. Im confused because its 30 June and the service is paid in advance. This service is truly a scam.
ADT Home Security We have had an ADT system now for a few years. We were happy until today. We began having issues with the system so we needed a technician to come get our system back to normal. Today is June 29, 2021 and we called ADT for assistance. They told us that they could not get us a technician to help until July 23rd, 2021. This is about a month away. I had multiple issues with the security service from the beginning of my contract for Techs arriving later than the scheduled "window" time, installation not being completed in one visit, system not set up properly and the list goes on! They assured me through all these issues not to worry because I have a 6 month money back guarantee. The worst customer service ever. - BEWARE of the contract you sign with them.
I should have read the reviews from this site before signing up with this company! Bad business practice, horrible!! They hooked me with the $53.99 plus $7 with four months of free service where in (the rep said) I could change my service to the basic package of $27.99 after the free months. However, in order to change it to the basic service, I need to have a landline which I was never told about as a requirement for their basic package and an additional $50 installation fee! I purchased a lot of equipment at a high cost when signing with ADT in September of 2020. My family and I will be moving and called to see how we can relocate our services. I was informed by a VERY RUDE gentleman that I had to leave my equipment at the current house and purchase new equipment at the new location, even though I paid for the equipment and own it. HOW DO I GET OUT?????? They want $3,000 from me for moving! ***** and *******! Everything, everybody else has said in their reviews is true. I have used ADT for 20 years. I unknowingly signed a contract for 5 years because they MADE me upgrade my equipment this past February, to the tune of $650. I moved on June 19 to a town that does their own security monitoring. ADT is the WORST security service to ever get. I sold my house where I had their services and called to cancel several times and each time they gave me a runaround and charged me for extra three months. They had record of me calling them to cancel the second time I called, since I was getting bills for services I didn't have in a home that I had sold.
