Poorly functioning equipment and impossible to get any kind of service. We received a notice in the mail that our panel needed to be updated and we needed to call to schedule a technician to come out. A technician showed up, looked at our panel and told us as a subcontractor for ADT he was not allowed to work on it. He stated he would inform ADT they needed to schedule another technician and left. I am writing this review in response to an issue that I have with "******" from the ADT corporate office in Boca Raton, FL. I am not satisfied with the way my issue was handled. On 7/14 parts were ordered for my card access door swipe system. Great sales rep from my local area! An installation appt. was made for 7/29 arrival time frame 8am-noon . TRASH OF A COMPANY!!! I have never had such horrible customer service in my life. I scheduled a appointment with a service technician to come to my residence, reboot my system, and make sure everything was in working order. I have been out of town for work and have not been able to be there to get it turned back on(why they require people to be at the residence they are supposed to be protecting??). Horrible experience!! In contract it stated that i had 3 days to cancel that i needed to fax a cancellation paper which i did. I called 10 days after to see if they were going to come and pick up their equipment and they said they did receive the fax paper that they will contact me to come pick up equipment. 6 months later i have a $300 bill! They never cancelled the service or picked up equipment.

ADT have charged me for 11 months without providing any service. This was when I moved from one city to another and was looking for a place to live, they were still charging me, from June 2020 to May 2021. Then that Contract was closed and I was forced to sign a new contract to avoid further penalties on the previous contract. Now they have charged me almost $1000 for a Contract which was closed in early May. A total nightmare. If I can rate 0 stars or negative stars I would happily do so! I don't know how this company is A+ accredited by BBB. Did they buy their rating?? I got my ADT service on 2020. Their sales people are great at blindsiding customers and giving false information or lack thereof. They'll get you to sign a contract with them and say "Yeah you can cancel at anytime we'll work with you. We value our customers, sure." June 30th, 2021 I called to cancel my account 7 accounts for a building that my wife owns and I manage. On the 1st of July I get a bill for 338.24. I wait a little bit to see if the bill goes down and the charges are refunded. On the 2nd of July, I am charged 224.04. Then on the 18th I am charged 114.20, and finally, on the 23rd of July I am charged 56.16. This is all after I have called the company more than once. I think ADT is a decent enough business however they make it so hard to cancel your account I wish I had never signed up. I've been a customer for over 3 years but now that I'm trying to cancel my account they are making it nearly impossible. I've been on the phone for over with 3 different departments. First person was outsourced overseas operator, then accounting to pay my final bill, now an account manager to actually shut down the account and she's telling me I didn't pay the final bill even though it's reflected already... read more
