Horrible customer service. Will charge you for services not rendered. Stay away. Get any other alarm system.

ADT has been in contact with us for the last 6 months in regards to service that is required for our system. However, when I contact them it is for a part of their service that we had paid for for 6+ years and come to find out was not something that could actually be used on our system because of our location. They have continued to send us these mailings and now they are for an address we are an emergency contact for and when I call to let them know it is not our system they tell me to disregard the mails. After being out of work for 3weeks sick from COVID I called to cancel my service. I had no contract & was paying month to month because I was with them for years. They talked me into 14.99 per month for 6 months & then $57.94 a month for the remaining 6 months. If been a loyal customer for years. Instead they charge me $23.12 on 6/9/21 then $38.24 6/12/21. ADT's Sales Department, as well as their customer service department, is not consistent and dishonest. Many of the things I purchased was useless and does not even follow my town's fire code for security and safety. They will make you pay for it first and install it then tell you it won't work at all. They tell you one thing then turn around and tell you they never said that and try to sell you a new coverage plan for thousands of dollars, even though their equipment is all second-hand (used). I was in the process of selling my home and called to speak with ADT about cancelling the service. The gentleman I spoke with said it was not a problem and the $911.07 balance on my contract would be taken off. A month later I receive a bill for $911.07, I call and spoke with someone who advised me that there was nothing in the notes on my account and there was nothing she could do. I could go on, but take my advise buy a camera system instead of ADT. It's less headache and you do not have to deal with a bunch of *****.

ADT IS A TERRIBLE COMPANY TO DO BUSINESS WITH. I HAD A ALARM SYSTEM WITH CAMERAS IN MY HOME ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO AND SINCE THAT TIME IS HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT A " ******* DISASTER ". THIS IS DEFINITELY THE WORST COMPANY TO EVER DO BUSINESS WITH. WE HAVE ISSUES WITH THE CAMERAS SINCE WE HAVE HAD THE SERVICE. ADT lies to you. They bounce you between people so the story will always change and they will arbitrarily up your rate. I was assured in October of 2020 that my payments would end in April of 2021. But instead, the charge increased when I was charged in May! 1st they would not allow me to cancel my contract in October 2020 - which they breached when they upped my rate without contacting me first (they only use the word contract when it comes to the client, they don't hold themselves to their contracts, only you). The customer service at this company is the worst. I was transferred 4 times and finally requested to speak with a supervisor. The "supervisor" gets on the line and after asking a few questions I get a busy signal. No one there is willing to truly help you or take accountability for there faults. I will be switching providers after this experience for sure!
