I was contacted by ADT to resume service with them, after a seven year change of service to another company. The manager promised me $600 in free upgrades to the existing system and scheduled a free installation for the following week. I received a voicemail confirmation of the installation. What a horrible experience. I completed an information request form online. I then received a call from ************ which was a hard sell agent. I was transferred to a ******* ****** Manager (supposedly) when I complained about the first available tech visit being over a month away. Mr. ***** (manager ID XXXXX) spent 45 minutes of my time explaining all the free stuff ($1899 specifically) that the technician would be authorized to provide for only a $99 install fee, and $54.99 per month of monitoring, with a contract. Not Customer friendly. I was on the line with ADT for almost 2 hours and I got transferred to six different people. Miscommunication when they relocated my service lead me to have $1000 charge on my account. When I contacted them to figure out why I had that balance on there they explained to me that they restarted a new contract for me rather than continuing a current contract. Awful Customer Service. I have been a customer for almost 3 years. I needed to terminate my contract because I was selling the property. I initiated termination on 10/28/20 and was told it would be terminated 11/27. I received multiple bills and made multiple calls to terminate and finally today 2/3/21 I am told my final bill is settled and will be mailed out. They continued to bill me for 5 months after my termination request and then refuse to credit anything for my inconvenience. I do not recommend their services or custo... read more
This company has been an absolute nightmare. Getting ahold of someone takes forever.. and you need to be transferred to many different departments to get any issue resolved and when you do.. your call gets dropped and because they are inbound calls only they won't return your call so you have to start all over . My camera system needs to be troubleshooted frequently to be able to work. When their installation team comes it takes over 8 hours when they quoted me 4.. and they left their mess in my house and one employee smelle... read more

When I signed up for ADT, I was promised a $100 visa gift card. I never received the gift card. In addition I feel like the person who sold me the security system took advantage of the fact that I was in I was in the middle moving. I told him I wanted the bare minimum and the lowest price possible. Later on I found out that there were cheaper options. When they came to install the system they failed to put sensors correctly on my back door. Also, they put sensors on my glass block windows in my basement incorrectly. The sens... read more
We were loyal customers for 6 years. 18 months ago we were having problems with our system. They sent tech out to update system and he also installed a smoke detector. Apparently, because we had a tech out they put us in another 3 year contract. We recently moved and they will be charging us almost 600 for the remainder of our contract unless we resign with them at new residence for another three years. Beware! ADT advertises and sells security but does not stand behind what they sell. ADT Pulse system has an issue with video recording. Camera will record a clip but then it will turn off for 4 MINUTES!! Now that we have more traffic in our area it is a major security concern. If someone enters your property, ADT camera will record a short clip and then TURN OFF FOR 4 MINUTES! You have now no idea if the person left your property or is now hiding in the backyard since the camera is not recording. The most ridiculous part of ... read more

Upon review of the account, Mr. ************** cameras have been installed since 2017. He has been advised that the Pulse cameras have a 4 minute delay, that cannot be shortened. He has been advised that in order to have a shorter camera delay, he would need to purchase CCTV or upgrade to the Command system.
My home was robbed 12/28/2020 while we were away for Christmas. We called ADT to install a security system. They installed it on 12/30/2020. We immediately had an issue with it bypassing our carport door. With many calls and technical support coming out twice already, the problem still isn't solved. I called to cancel so that I can get a system to protect my home and family and they told me it would cost me $1400.00 to cancel because of 36 month contract on a system that NEVER worked!
