Never had a problem with them. Friendly, fast, and knowledgeable.
Inappropriate charges. This is the 2nd time i caught this. Long term customer here... We pay for the extended repair service, it is like a warranty. Protection 1 has aggressively pursued payment for services provided even though we pay for their warranty every month. The person doing the bill collecting (Protection 1, not an outside bill collector) assured me that the services provided were not included under the warranty and that i had to pay. The installing cree is not equipped to provide professional service. I had updated cameras (that are worse quality than my last cameras.) The app and 24/7 video footage is garbage. The cameras are always going off line and I have the max wifi capabilities and two wifi extenders. When you do call customer service 2 out of the three times I called the person sounded disgruntled. I should've set up my own system. Completes waste of money.

The absolute worst experience of moving into our new dream home. ADT has been the worst business I have ever dealt with and has provided us with the worst product I've ever see. To add to it all they WILL not come remove the system from our house even though it doesn't work. Here is one foe you, the lady on the ADT phones told us the only way we will get it removed is if someone breaks in our house and the alarm doesn't work TWICE!!! I said so my family has to be put in harms way for you guys to get my system out??!

We have offered a 50% reduced rate, effective 02/02/2021 thru 03/01/2021. The last service call attempt we made, the customer was not home. We will be returning on 02/01/2021, to confirm with the account holder on site that everything is working.
Consumer beware!! Terrible. Less than 1 star if I could. We got ADT with option to cancel in 3 days or stuck in a year long contract. The tech installed it backwards. So we call to cancel. Tech comes out NOT to pick up equipment but to sell us more product. So we call again while he was here and the lady said she would mail us a cancelation letter because we don't have a fax. BUT the postmark would be after the 3rd day. So sucks to be us is pretty much what we got. Now stuck in a year long contract. AND they gave our contrac... read more

I finally decided to put a nice security system in my house: 5 cameras, 23 sensors, etc. Defender salesman comes out under the pretense of ADT, and sells me on this system. We life in the country and have slow WIFI. Per the next Corporate ADT serviceman he said "this system should never have been installed due to the slow wifi" We were oversold and ultimately scammed by the salesman *******. Where to start? Took 1 week for someone to come fix a broken fire detector and during that time ADT messed up TWICE by not silencing a broken Fire detector causing the fire department to come 3 times and issue us a court summons. ADT has NOT been helpful in helping us resolve this issue and after bouncing around customer service representatives for 2 hours, they gave us an email. That was 1 week ago an no one has responded with the documentation we need despite multiple emails. Avoid them like the plague.
I purchased my home back in March of 2020 and was approached by ****** who portrayed himself as an ADT employee. ****** was actually an employee of Bulldog Security who is a third party affiliate of ADT. I explained to ****** that I had no intention of taking on additional expenses as we had just started a pandemic. ****** explained to me that I was able to freeze or cancel the services if I needed to at any point given what was going on in the world. ADT is the most dysfunctional company we have ever dealt with. RUN FOR YOUR LIFE! They lie continuously and your system will never work right. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY.
