Watch out. This company will continue to bill after terminating them. They will bill for obsolete equipment and never fix it. They will bill when they know your system is not operating. Find an honest provider. We cancelled after four years of getting **** from them and having a system that did not operate properly and they would NEVER be accountable for all the complaints.
I'd give ADT less thatn 1 star is it was possible. I wanted to relay to you my experience with your company and why I am so dissatisfied with my association with ADT. It was very easy to sign up and they couldn't have been more helpful. However, now that my contract is up and I want to cancel, it seems impossible to do so. I can't actually talk to anyone that can end my contract. I have spent DAYS trying to cancel and each time I call it's a minimum of 10 minutes waiting to talk to someone who transfers me to someone else and it's another 10 minute wait or the line drops. There is no way to end your contract online. Please run away from anyone trying to sell you this service!
I scheduled the first appointment but was told to reschedule just 30 minutes before the appointment. I rescheduled and in the morning of that appointment, they simply sent confirmation email stating a different time frame. I gave a call to customer service, had to wait more than 20 minutes. The customer service said ADT changed the schedule but they don't know why it has changed without confirming with me. Their service is not professional at all.
Bait and switch tactics on their equipment pricing and monthly fees. When we raised the issue, no one called us back to resolve our complaint They admitted to internal price changing, yet take no action to keep us as customers. Agonizing several months later, We took our business elsewhere. Horrible service
We thought ADT and Blue by ADT was the same company. They are not. Blue sent us their equipment. We never used it. They refuse to cancel the agreement. They also refuse to send us a label to return the equipment. We have called several times, explaining that we do not want this service!
This Company has turned straight wick or hidden contracts. I have used ADT for over 20 years in the past time. We bought a new farm and decided to go with ADT again. That was our bigger mistake! We sign for a 2 year contract on a hand handle tablet pad that we agreed to. Later on we founded out that its a 3 year contract that we did not agree on 3 years of service with them. ADT makes it hard for someone to leave them. I called to cancel my services just before my contract term. The phone prompts to make you choose a reason for cancellation and yet when the customer service rep comes on, she said, "I cannot help you. I have to transfer you to account management". After a 10 min wait, account management came on and asked the reason for the cancellation, moving, or competitor. The moment I said I don't want their service any longer, I got disconnected. I have had ADT since 2011. I moved to another state in 2018 and signed a new contract to renew my service. I moved in 2019 to an apartment and had to get new equipment that wasn't hard-wired so that I could continue my service without penalty. I learned that my contract was renewed and now instead of 3 years, I have to continue paying for a fourth year because of the "type" of ADT - Pulse vs Pro or whatever it's called.
