TLDR; Do not get ADT. Do not let the salesman inside your home. Do not let him persuade you into signing a contract - even if you're sure you want it. Take a few days to think it over. Make sure you understand the monthly cost of the contract. Make sure you understand that the contract is not cancelable for 3 years. Then decide if their unreliability, terrible customer service, and cancellation fees are really for you. I feel a moral imperative to denounce ADT, the security system service. I've bought a franchise business in Albuquerque and it had ADT equipment installed by prior owners so I thought of continuing the service. I had talked to ******* ****** and we would hook up my camera services later on as needed, when we e were ready I called him and he wanted contract signed before install which I did. Their sales rep by the name of *** lied and now ADT doesn't want to do anything about this!
ADT IS THE WORST SERVICE EVER. They don't even know that the equipment is offline and not working. So tell me how are they protecting your home. They put you under contract then didn't honor their commitment. They used to be #1 but not anymore. Wrong time to fall off
Terrible customer service, cannot reach the same person twice. Auto pay was stopped without my knowledge then was thrown into collections. My system never worked correctly to start with. Not one person there can make sense or understand my account or what is happening on it. Every supervisor I spoke to gave me a different amount. I've paid $700 in the last month and they're still saying I owe different amounts depending on who I speak with. No one is will to help me and just cancel my account with out early termination fees.... read more
ZERO stars. It sounds like I had the exact same experience as others with this unethical company. Ordered a security system, never installed it, they will only terminate me if I pay $1000 but I CAN transfer my account to a family member. Are you kidding me?! Does writing letters like this really help? What else can I do? I am not paying $1000
DO NOT USE!! I am very unhappy with ADT. I have used ADT for over 5 years, but since moving, we've had someone scheduled to come FINISH the install THREE different times with no one actually showing up. So we have part of our system installed and no one will actually show up to finish the install. My husband and I both have jobs so I think we have been very reasonable to have someone wait at home for 4 hours three different times (not including the first time the technician actually showed up but did not have what he needed)... read more
This company has no concern for their product. They want to send out tech after tech to try and get away from giving you a refund for their expensive equipment. ADT is a thing of the past and does not have the ability to actually protect your home. I have multiple cameras that have been serviced twice. They go offline every day and do not capture video.
