Service is not good multiple issues with alarm system very difficult to get out of contract. I have been without service for 3 weeks know . I will not do this again

To much time between alarm going off and phone call from ADT. A thief can come in and out leaving you hurt or worse before you get a call.

I've been paying for services that I am not getting. I have to hold for extended amount of time and then suddenly get disconnected when I try to cancel the account. Very dishonest company.

Very bad experience - 1) Spurious calls from ADT unit on the land line connected to it. Irritating. 2) Called to discontinue service. Found out several months later that ADT monthly service was still being charged on credit card. Felt cheated. 3) Called again to clarify. They said there was no record of my requesting cancelations. And refused to discontinue service since I misplaced security code by then. Had to write a letter asking for the security code. They took over a month to respond.

My contract with Brinks (became ADT) began in 2008. My security was via a landline. I recently (Dec) tried to cancel my account because I no longer have a landline (for several years) and realized I was therefore paying for a service I am not receiving. They will not cancel immediately even though I have no service. They want to receive another automatic payment. This is unethical!!! ADT is no longer a company with integrity but driven by greed.

ADT IS THE WORST ALARM COMPANY I HAVE EVER DELT WITH THEY GAVE ME TWO ACCOUNTS WITH I SHOULD ONLY HAVE ONE AND EVERY MONTH MY BILL IS A MESS I CAN BE AT $0 BALANCE AND THE NEXT MONTH THEY TELLING TO PAY $198 FOR A 45 DOLLAR A MONTH BILL.

I keep getting brochures signed by Ms ***** *******, Chief Executuve Officer of ADT which are false advertisement brochures. The many brochures have many contact numbers but no address. I fell into a 3 year contract based on one of these brochures, but I did not get the equipment advertised. I got a Skybell Doorbell camera instead of the ADT Camera Doorbell pictured and I am forever getting a command to "Troubleshoot" or "Retry"....the rear camera is a short recording thar does capture much of an activity, yet I am told that... read more

I would not recommend ADT to anyone. I'm not sure how a company who has been around for so long still has so many communication issues, both with their customers and internally. From the day of my installation I have had a terrible experience with ADT: the installation that should have taken 3-4 hours took almost 12 because the representative who scheduled me did not provide the proper instructions to the technician on what I ordered.
