Absolutely never EVER would you need a good for nothing noise maker in your house that they want to charge you for when the service in the area does not exist. Charged $1,000 for equipment after getting the service contract cancelled. They saw no need to refund me. Contract stipulations aside go ADT can go throw themselves in the deepest trash pit ever created. I have been scammed out of over $2000.00 when i called in to ask for my services to be MOVED!! I've been a customer for MANY years and yet this is how i am treated. I asked for my alarm system and cameras to be moved to a new location down the street. All of a sudden my account was overdrawn at the bank because i found out ADT Cancelled my account!! I have cancelled the service four times with in the first 2 days of sign up. The company they use Safe Streets is a *****. They were scheduled to pick up their equipment never arrived I call again the next day wait on hold again to be told they need their equipment even though they’ve charged me after cancellation.
Not military friendly at all. I would talk everyone out of ADT if I have to but this company is the greediest of all. Horrible customer service both on local and virtual/telephonic representatives.
Wouldn't cancel my account for 2 years! After 3 months they said they did, but they continued billing for over a year even though the system was inactive and was on their file as inactive. I finally had to stop payments directly through my bank. Had about 15+ service reps come out and no one could fix it. Even had the same guy a few times and he was like - this is deja vu., haven't I been here before. I said - yeah, for me its groundhog day. They installed a security system with doorbell cameras that worked for all of three hours before they stopped working. After trying to troubleshoot the cameras as they suggested still didn’t work because come to find out their doorbell cameras emit such a weak signal they won’t stay connected to my wifi. I was admit that I needed my security be fully functional at all times and was told by the installer that even though the cameras signal were weak that it should be ok. If I can give a negative 5 I would. I have done some ignorant things but choosing to do any business with ADT has topped my stupidity chart . RUN for your life I warn you. They have refused to cancel me 3 separate times. Each time making me pay out the remainder bill and promising me they were canceling my account. ADT yall should be closed and kicked off the market. ADT is horrible. No idea how the system will work but they way that they have you sign a contract before they come to your house is ridiculous. I was told that my existing devices could be integrated with my new system which was not true and I ended up having to pay 2000 dollars for the new system devices. If I had known the contract was not in effect before l had the system installed I would have probably told the guy to leave and not come back. Underhanded tactics IMHO. lI hope the system works .
Had my condo monitored by ADT for more than 6 years. Two and a half years ago requested a decrease in cost and a new contract was generated and the cost lowered. I recently sold my condo. Approximately 6 months worth of monthly fees were automatic taken from my account. When I called ADT I was informed that I had to pay even though there was no home to monitor.
