Please don't use this company. Please! They ripped us off, never completing our system and forcing us to pay almost $2k for it anyway. Now they continue to charge us for the monthly charge for a system we don't have. We had to pay another contractor $3400 to install the same solution. The new contractor's equipment functions beautifully. But the nightmare with ADT continues. Again, PLEASE don't become their next victim.
Very unethical. Use any alarm company. They billed me for monitoring for several months even though it was never requested or hooked up. And they refuse to issue a credit. Eventually they agreed to issue credit for two months after an hour in the phone ( sounds like this is the standard for a common fraudulent charge that they bill), but afterwards they even refused to do that. ADT Blue is absolutely terrible. i called to cancel the service and you cannot reach someone i have called over 20x all you get is the run around and the staff is rude . i finally got another number and explained i want to cancel and have been trying and he told me i have to pay and without paying he will not give me the info to send back the equipment. The service did not work. Also he was very very condescending Horrible customer service!
We have had multiple problems with our ADT services. First, there was a billing issue where they told us a bill would be resolved because they charged us wrong but in order to not be brought to collections they made us pay that bill plus the current charges so it ended up being an outrageous bill and we couldn't cancel since it was in a 2 year contract! I signed a contract where the representative explained I would have service for half what they were charging before because I really called to cancel the service after my initial contract expired. The service is set up to rip off their customers with installing cheap parts and then charge high fees when they have to come out to maintenance. Which meant aleast once a month. I moved into a new house, the previous owners had ADT. We decided to continue services with ADT, we let the technician know that we will be getting all new windows in the house later, after getting the new windows installed I asked them to leave the wires in the windows that they could reattach them to the panel! The technician came to the house and said that it would cost me $1000 to hook up all the windows to the panel because the double hung windows! ADT is charging my Mom over $1000.00 to cancel her account after she's been diagnosed with dementia and told by doctors she can no longer live alone. This is wrong and was never told to us when we got this service. This is a **** against older/senior citizens. She has had ADT for over 17 years! ADT needs to fix this immediately and stop mistreating older/senior citizens.
The alarm was going off, we called ADT for help, they tried to resolve the issue by phone and we followed the steps. The issue was not resolved and they planed to send a technician at no charge. After the visit we observed $61 charged on account and asked ADT to zero the balance, they promised to do , however the charge still exists. Called on May 1, the customer agent hung up without resolving the issue. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE...WE NEED TO SPREAD THE WORD...
