Adt Security service in ********* ** don't even deserve one star. They have their technician come to your house convince you to take their equipment for a affordable price. set up the installment , and charge a higher price than what was agreed upon. The technician will also sign the work order without the customer knowledge and then email to the customer after leaving the customer premises. Within the year we spent over 7k to have ADT installed. It worked for 3 months, we had some remodeling done and needed ADT tech to come out and reconnect part of our system. We called multiple times and have yet to get a technician out. They dont show or have canceled. Same with our security cameras. They actually have never worked! We tried again to troubleshoot and get a technician to help. We also cant seem to get any phone personnel to talk to. They seem so incompetent. *********************. If you're thinking about choosing ADT for security, I beg you to choose anyone else.We have had issues with ADT from Day 1. Our back door is glass, so they suggested we use a more sensitive trigger on that door, just in case someone threw a rock through the glass and walked in the house. EVERY storm we have, every strong gust of wind, the alarm gets tripped. I've had calls while at work because alarm was tripped because of thunder. ADT is a RIPOFF!!! There needs to be a class action lawsuit against them or they will continue to ******* us customers with their faulty equipment and refusal of refunds!! I need someone to please help me this company has been ripping me off for over a year. We initially contracted services with ADT in Feb 2014 at which time we purchased and paid for equipment totaling almost 5k. The term of that agreement was 36 months, and at the expiration we continued with ADT without a contract extension or amendment.In 2020, we requested a service call because of an issue with a door sensor and also stated we would like to talk to the technician about a video doorbell and garage door opener. Adt refuses to cancel services when contacted by customer. They charged me 80 dollars to fix my system which still does not work. My advice is choose a different security provider.
Terrible customer service and contract agreements. I had ADT for over 10years and things were good until I had to move to another state for my job. I signed up with them and was told they dont shift equipment and that Id have to pay for new equipment, well ok no problem. However, I moved again to another state after 11 months and notified ADT that Id like to move ******************** and I was told again that equipment cannot be moved, well at this point all the equipment was brand new and could easily match in my new home. ... read more
