ADT customer service is horrible. I spent over $**** in installation equipment in 2020 ONLY because my husband passed away. Not even a year and the camera stopped working AND my alarm system started randomly going off at 2 or 3 or 4 in the morning. Control panel said living room window 19 an 20 were tampered with. For weeks I got up with my weapon and there was nothing. It goes off every ***** hours randomly. Steer clear of the scam of a company!! Im about to hit you with all the facts of the nightmare we have experienced so buckle up. I received a phone call from a guy named ********************* wanting to know if there was anything they could do to keep our business. I think its a scam so I disregard as Ive not been made aware that anything is wrong with our service. Then I get a letting one the mail stating we have a balance of $3,000+!!! I lived at a residence for 17 yrs of which adt was in my boyfriends name. After his passing in Nov. of 2021 I was told to put it in my name we had adt for 11 yrs but because I had to put it in my name I could not cancel the account . The kids of my boyfriend told me I had to move, as they are selling the house. I moved into a mobile home park and do not feel I need adt but I cannot cancel because they will charge me over $1,000 to do so. Why??? Horrible customer service. Old equipment that doesn't work. Will not let me out of my contract. I've had their service 2 years and was just informed that I have another year left. Lady said, I'm aware that your equipment is old but if we install newer equipment, you will have to sign another 3 year contract. What a scam!!Do not spend your money with these crooks.

Just like the hundreds of complaints I have just read through on the BBB site I too am totally disgusted by the business practices and double-dealing of ADT. they have the absolute worst customer service and deceptive business practices io have ever witnessed. LIES ABOUT THEIR 6 MONTH MONEY BACK SATIFACTION GUARANTEE! In April ****, a representative from ADT out of the ********** ************** office sold us three business camera systems which she touted the 6 month satisfaction guarantee. The three systems were installed on April 22, 2021 at a cost of $3196. Poor customer service, agents have no idea what they are doing This is not the first time i called this company and was put on hold for more than 30 minutes regardless if when I call . I was transferred 4 times only to be asked the same questions over and over about my name, address, phone number , and pin # . Aren't these people communicating with each other ? When the 4th person I spoke to wasn't able to resolve my issue which was really simple: making an appointment for someone to check my alarm system.
I would not recommend ADT Security Services to anyone or renew my contract. I've had a new system installed in January 2022. Since that installation I have called more times then I can count. I've had countless issues, when they fix one issue another issue occurs. I do not feel secure with ADT protecting my family. ADT WAS SENT MY ACCOUNT #19731156 ON 3/25/2022 TO CANCEL MY SERVICE. I HAVE CALLED REPEATEDLY & HAVE TALKED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH POOR PEOPLE SKILLS! MY BILL WAS INCREASING EVERY MONTH!
