I called to cancel my service and was told that service would end at midnight and I would receive a refund of partial charges to the bank account that I paid with, since i had just paid my **** the week before. 3 days later I received a **** from ADT and was told I am being billed for 30 days from cancelation despite the fact that I just paid my **** for the next month. stay away they will not let you canceal even after years of service and try to charge you for 5 year conyract when you only uad a 2 year. plus they will turn you over to a collection agency if you dont pay. They are liarers /scammersand should be arrested. This ADT is corrupt.

Money hungry company, they do not monitor their system adequately as described in their contract. I have had ADT for over one year and while having the service I have had to monitor my own system all while being changed a monthly monitoring fee. They lie to you about the contract time limit only to ******* more money out of the customer. I have had to call my own emergency response on several occasions without the help of the ADT system during crime and emergencies that have taken place on my property since Ive had their sys... read more

I think ADT is ran terribly. I went to cancel our service and a month later they **** me for ***** I paid it. Then turn around a few days later another **** for *****. When I called to cancel the guy got angry with me because he asked me 5 questions about why I wasn't satisfied with ADT, I told him the App was awful, the price we were paying a month for monitoring was ridiculous. I had a full security system installed including 3 cameras, 16 window sensors and 2 remote access dead-bolt locks. The technician was very late arriving, without a courtesy call to let me know, and left a mess of sawdust and such when he was done. The actual price was much much more than what was discussed with the sales person on the phone prior to installation, even though I was clear on what equipment I wanted. .I used ADT Security Services for about 10 years in one city and 10 years in another city. ADT called to say they were upgrading equipment toward end of May 2021. I called and said I was cancelling them. In June 2021, I started security with another company. I discovered a couple of months later that ADT was withdrawing money from my charge card. I called the bank and they were able to get that money back from ADT and placed it back into my account. I received numerous robocalls, daily from ADT and emails daily saying that I... read more

ADT does not tell you the complete details when they sign you up. They did not tell us its a three year contract or if you move you still have to pay your monthly **** till the end of the contract. VEY SHORT ON DETAIL We lived in a ranch ranch home and moved to a gated community. The condo HAS SECURY so we had no use for ADT. We paid $1600+ for equipment and they wanted $1700+ for CANCELLATION FEE. Their representative said our contract would be canceled with no mention of $1700

Don't do it! Do NOT get this system! This company has the WORST business practices.I got the security system for my aged mother, who can barely get out of bed, The salesman made all these promises. However, they would NOT place the control panel in my mother's bedroom and wanted me to buy an additional portable tablet, which my mother was NEVER able to operate.I called to cancel the service (which was NEVER documented). The system beeps in the middle of the night for numerous issues. Weve had techs out many, many times and it will still beep at 2:00 or 3:00am. We cancelled service but were told that could take up to 30 days. So here the system is, still beeping.
