Having been with ADT for over 15 years in 2 different states my current experience in ******* is my last!! I recently transferred service from one location to another and was erroneous hit with a $987 termination fee. This charge caused an overdraft in my personal account and fees. ADT would not help out at all and its been over 30 days and I have yet to be refunded. STAY AWAY FROM ADT!!! There are many other more affordable options for than ADT. My installer Safe Streets in ******* was no help either!!!
We have been Lied to about the status of our set up multiple times. technicians promised the owner of the company they would be there to install items at our new warehouse and never showed up. alarms have been triggered and no calls we made to EC's. Police response was never dispatched. customer service has been miserable and getting things up and running for our two warehouses has been abysmal.
5 months ago I had a poorly installed system put in. Fast forward a few months and door sensors are falling off the doors and other sensors are all together not operating. I called ADT customer service and they tried charging me a $59 service fee plus labor for their poor product. I would avoid this company.
I used a different service before but we switched to ADT when we moved back in 2017. It was not as good as our previous service, but it worked. Over time, the charge kept creeping up. Finally, our old service came knocking and offered us a great deal to switch back to them with better equipment. We decided to take the offer.So I called ADT to cancel the service. Terrible customer service from the local and corporate office. My alarm has been going off several times a day for over the last 6-8 weeks. I was told that they are transitioning from 4G to 5G with ******** I was told this by the technician that came to my house. The problem has not been resolved yet and my alarm keeps going off sporadically several times a day and during the night. Do not get this service. I was charged for the service after canceling it in the first 3 days. It took them 2 weeks to come pick up there equipment. I was supposed to be receiving a refund. Two weeks later they charged me for service. The customer service is not professional. I spoke to someone in billing accounts and they stated someone would call me the same day but no one called. I called again and someone was supposed to call me back; then they proceed to place me on hold and never came back. And they did the same exact ... read more
Would not recommend ADT at all, company wants your money and does not provide customer service and provide defect equipment. They installed 2 cameras in front yard and sensors to windows and doors about 2 months ago and a week later after installation had problems with sensors (shocks). Called and they said would charge me to send technician and new sensors. Called several times and each representatives said something different and kept transferring to different departments. Horrible investment in customer service. Just awful. You are best off with anyone else in my humble opinion. I was conned by their salesman and now can not get a rep on the phone, post contract completion, to process a cancellation of the service. Worst experience in my life so far.
This company is basically a collections agency that buys other company's contracts after putting them out of business so it can **** up prices on customers stuck with it's service. They will try to hold you hostage, even if you never consented to being their customer.
