Absolutely HORRIBLE!! More expensive and LESS reliable than Ring (which you can easily install yourself).When their equipment breaks or failsthe customer pays to replace it.If your system cant be monitored because your equipment isnt working properly, you still have to pay FULL PRICE for monitoring. Full price is $73 a month compared to Ring at $20.They are also moving to a technology that all customers will need to upgrade to because they will no longer support their own equipment. Absolutely the worst company for home security. Terrible customer service. I would never recommend ********************************************* to any one. When I decided to cancel my service I was never told the process. I was charge 3 more months of payment for service I did not use. I was put on hold multiple times for a total of more than 1 hour and transferred to multiple people to talk to.

I have been with ADT for 28 years and had always been on a month to month billing.I will be moving to another state and was surprised to get a contract cancellation fee of ******. I tried numerous times to talk to the cancellation department or a manager and I always wind up getting passed over from one sales consultant to another.I think this is a fraudulent charge because my monthly charge is ***** for this obsolete 28 year old equipment that has never been updated to merit a new contract. .After 28 years you would think A... read more

If you sign up with ADT for "security monitoring" they charge an exorbitant amount of money to buy their equipment and monthly fees. Then then make it almost impossible to cancel. This is despicable and a SCAM practice, not a practice of n ethical business and if they were doing business in an ethical way, they would not make canceling so difficult. Not recommended. One star is too many. Steer clear of ADT!!!!

I was sold a system that was switched out during installation for another having been told NONE of my window contacts were operable/transferable. After 1-2 weeks of trial/error I realized I was not properly protected as I had been and questioned the "bait and switch" tactic. The next technician as well as my sales rep both agree that it's highly unlikely that ALL window contacts were inoperable. ADT Corporate sent a tech to confirm this. ADT are appalling. I have paid top dollar for 5 years. My alarm is broken I am going away, I wait three times for an hour on hold over 4 days, get told 'Due to covid' they cant send anyone out as they have lost staff yet my rates have gone up. Then say they will arrange a virtual call to fix. They don't call, said they did call and continue to lie and the people on the phone representing this company have no idea what they are talking about and just put the phone down when they don't like being asked certain questions. I ordered services initially in June 2020; in September 2021 I added a doorbell camera and an additional outside camera. I sold my house June 2022; when I called to cancel my service I paid over $1,000.00 for equipment. I received a text stating my monthly fee had been declined by the bank. When I called, I was told that when I got new equipment I committed to a five year commitment to them. THAT WAS NEWS to me. Now, I am being asked to pay over $2,000.00.
