I requested to cancel my service because I was moving and no longer needed their services. I was then billed three more times before I realized I was still being charged. I called customer service to have the issue resolved. As I am writing this review, I am on hold waiting on the fifth "specialist". All I am asking is for an email sent that verifies my account is cancelled and I will no longer be billed. We've not had ADT service to our home for over a year, but they keep on sending us invoices. On trying to cancel they leave you on hold for hours, give you the run around to each of their departments - then move the post of what is required for cancellation. Mysteriously, they can't seem to find our account to cancel it, but they can find it just fine to send the next ****.After months, they tell me I need to send an email with my name, address, and reason. If I could put a **** stars I would. This company seeks to make money off people not reading their contracts. I made a mistake in signing up for service when I went through a terrible divorce. Within a week I realized my mistake and I didn't need their service. I asked to cancel and discovered I only had 3 days to decide to opt out and I was now stuck for over $3000 for 3 years. I have been with ADT for over 7 years. I simply tried to cancel my service. They insisted I had to wait 30 days to shut down the service even though i wanted it terminated immediately. I understand that contractually I had to give them 30 days notice for billing purposes, I simply dont want the service anymore. I have been on hold for 2 hours and transferred 2 times so far. Very poor customer ******************** unwilling to adjust the service guys schedule for the customer have an alarm system that doesnt work still paying my monthly no one has come out to fix have talked with top customer service people and still cant get any techs to come out and fix do not offer 24/7 technical support and only one day/week on site what a joke Will be looking at local system when my year is up guess whos not happy ****** thx *************************

We have been with ADT for 20 years and everything has been OK. We moved to a new house three years ago and it has been nothing but problems. Alarm goes off for no reason consistently and basically cannot even set it reliably. It goes off in the middle of the night when we are sleeping and if we leave and said it it goes off and scares our pets. Ive had them out many times and basically they told us our wiring needs updated and they are not willing to do it. They keep patching our system together and it is pretty much a piece... read more

Worst customer service Called to cancel in October ******************************************************************************************************************************* on hold for several hours With no resolution I am tired of explaining that I cannot afford I want to cancel now they say I should first bring my account up to date pay first Then they will cancel I didnt want it from last year when I called please help

WOW, where to start. The salesman was Okay back in 2016. Since then they have raised my rates without proper written notices. I paid an upgrade fee back then for PET-sensitive motions for pets up to 80 pounds. I have pets again at 70 pounds and they trip the system every time. Service has been here 2x3 times to replace sensors again with even better ones with no improvement. Despite being opted-out of marketing calls, ADT shared my phone number with ADT_Solar and they called me 5 times in 2 days on a number registered at *************. I finally threatened to cancel my account completely if they didn't stop and followed *** with a complaint to ADT directly.2 weeks later and ADT now called me on the same number to "talk about other services" I.e. more spam sales calling.
