cancelling service is a nightmare. total 65 minutes over 2 days being transferred around, before I found someone interested in cancelling the service. Initially the confirmation # provided was incorrect (?fake) but hopefully today's call confirmed there will be no charges after next month's ****. (that is BS). I recommend NEVER using adt, tell all your friends. I will totally be watching my credit card statements for unauthorized charges. Currently the online account won't let me remove the credit card that was used.
They should get no stars. When I called to change from land line alert to cell phone some kid told me I had to change to a new system.The old system worked fine for many years . But the new system has stopped working about 10 times. I could go on with many, many more very negative things to say about them but I have already spent a total of about 32 hours waiting for the repair guy and then trying to find the problem . Great until it breaks (7 months after installation) and then it will be almost a month (which we will pay for) until they might fix it.
I have had ADT for over 20 years and had issues with beepers and signals that have sounded for various reasons. I have repair men out with improvement for a short period of time, but the problems return. Most recently I have signal that goes every night at the same time. I getup and turn it off and it will return the next night. I have tried canceling the system turning off the system. The problem continues with signals going of every 24 hours at a different time. Cannot stress enough the worst level of customer service company I have ever dealt with. They do no respond and if they do after hours of waiting on the phone, you get someone who has no idea what they are doing. Stay Away.
I was going to get ADT and decide to not go ahead and get it. Well little did I know I was about to be harassed I kept telling him I do not want the service I never signed anything and he told me I needed to understand this is his job, trying to be little me.. And I kept telling him no I don't want the service, ended up just having to hang up the phone. Overall a horrible experanice and I felt extremely violated! no means no!!
So we got ADT services when we lived in an area where we had concerns about security. It was initially okay. We bought a house and moved and the house is solid concrete so signals can be a challenge. We called out a tech to reinstall the system at which point we were told we would have to re-up for 3 years. Since we hadn't had issues up to that point we decided that was okay. ADT after the merge of ******** is the worst service I have ever encountered- its takes close to an hour fir anyone to come on line. They dont have my account services from ********- they also told me they have no one to come to my home to service me in this area! This is pure hell!!!
ADT services have deteriorated. The system is good, but try getting help! Wait times have increased to 45 minutes. They said due to system upgrade. Really? It seems to take months for them to get this fixed. I suspect they have cut their staff for answering calls and say it's a "system upgrade". Also try to get a tech anymore. They must have cut down on them, too. Now, I have to change a battery for the keypad when the last time it happened the tech told me, I can't do it. They have to.
