We had this service for a little over 2 years. When we moved, we called them confirm there were no cancellation fees or additional costs. They confirmed multiple times on a recorded call that there were no fees and we would just pay out the remainder of the month. A few weeks later we received a bill for $240 for early termination. After getting put on hold and passed around for an hour, they said that even though we were told there was no fee, the contract states there is so nothing we can do. Terrible Service.
I never signed a contract with ADT and I'm moving out of state so I canceled my ******** contract. Now ADT has charged me a $1500 cancelation fee. This is not ok, and feels completely fraudulent especially when I was on hold for almost an hour yesterday with adt management because they couldn't even find my account. It's ridiculous you have to at least select 1 stsr to give a review bc ADT doesn't even deserve that! I moved in my new home and was curious what package my home builder and ADT had to offer. A salesman came out and when I expressed I wasn't really interested after his pitch, he became aggravated. I reluctantly agreed to sign up. Fast forward to a year later. I finally received a call from someone that barely spoke English, but claimed he was a supervisor. When I asked where he was calling from he said ******** republic. He said I still owe $139 dollars. What he couldn't and wouldn't answer is how do I owe that when I paid my balance IN FULL! I am still getting recorded calls harassing me daily. I want answers and this matter relieved of me!
I brought all of ADT equipment cash for my home because I am on a fix income, I just wanted to pay for their service and nothing else. I have had server issue concerning the service, customer service, and their technicians. I'm just finding out that I have another 5 yrs. with ADT which I know it should 2 yrs. left, I did not know that I now have new equipment install without my permission. I have been a customer of ********************** for ** years. Initially I was pleased with their service. Our contract included free ************************ A few years ago the company started saying that batteries had to be bought by the customer. Then they began to say the customer had to change the batteries. When we would report a problem, they said we would have to do it ourselves. Hello, I have been a customer of ********************** for 2 years and have one more year to go on my contract. Recently, I have had nothing but issues and problems with their equipment and not being able to utilize what I am paying for each month. My wife called to cancel our ADT service 7 months ago. 3 months later, I called ADT to complain that we continued to get bills for a service that we had cancelled. (ADT claims that they have no record of the initial call; but they do have a record of that 2nd call by me) . This company and its employees are deceitful and should have their license to operate a business in ***** revoked. 1. They purposely make you wait on hold ***** minutes every time you call.2. ADT could not make my alarm system work again. After 5 months I canceled our service. They have ignored me and turned me into a collection service because I did not complete my contract. They failed to provide a working alarm service and the last technician to our home in October 2021 said he could not fix the problem because the panels installed didn't connect properly.
